“Amazing food, gorgeous view, stellar service!”

Words cannot describe our visit to this restaurant. We met a couple on the beach that recommended it,otherwise would have never found it. I called ahead to make a reservation since it was an anniversary dinner, really had no idea what to expect. When we arrived they had set up a table for us all alone on the patio with incredible sunset views. Our meal was the finest seafood dishes we have ever had anywhere. The chef came to personally visit with us and wish us a happy anniversary. Our waiter was at our beck and call the entire evening, even taking pictures for us. I cannot recommend this restaurant enough, you will not be disappointed!!

“Best meal of our trip...”
Reviewed March 18, 2013

We happened upon the restaurant at Casa de los Suenos quite by accident! It was our one day with a golf cart, on our third circuit of the island, while looking for a different restaurant that had been recommended. We missed the one that we were looking for, but drove by Casa de los Suenos and saw the lit-up menu out front and stopped. It looked good and reasonable, so we tried it out and were not disappointed!! Be careful if you have mobility issues - there are several stairs that you need to go down to get to the restaurant.

The location is amazing (especially at night) with the lights of Cancun in the distance.

We started off with chips and guacamole, which was good...but it was the amazing salad and main courses that shone brightest. We each ordered a "basic" salad with cukes, lettuce, and other veggies that was dressed with a tart and tangy vinaigrette that I loved. It was really good. For my main course I had some sort of chicken - I would liken it to barbecue chicken, but the flavors were vibrant and made me happy!! I wish I remembered the name of this dish. My friend ordered fish... I do not like fish, but tried his and it was delicious!! Another bright spot of our meal was the attentive and friendly service. Our waiter was personable and super-nice, and the owner came down to check how our meal was, which was a nice touch. We really loved eating here, and highly recommend it!!

“Delicious ' first class”
Reviewed March 14, 2013

Got there from the airport and we were starving. Had our first meal at the restaurant-bar overlooking the sea. Fish tacos and guacamole. Best I ever had in my life! We are not talking chain restaurant here. Also had good wines, elegant dinner, and lovely breakfasts.

Maybe we just hit the place on the wrong night or something, but we found Suenos to be overpriced with mediocre food. We ate out every night during a week on Isla and this was the only place that nobody liked. Waiters were very nice, but they got our orders all wrong several times and we were overcharged for what we got. Even the tortilla soup, a hard dish to mess up, was bad.
The best part of the visit was the walk through the hotel, which is very stunning.

Thank you for taking the time to write a review about your visit to our restaurant. I am sincerely sorry and surprised that your visit was not perfect. We strive to provide exceptional customer service and top quality food and want all of our guests to have a great time while visiting us. We have two culinary trained chefs on staff. One is from Mexico City and the other from New York so we specialize in both American and Mexican dishes. The tortilla soup is one of our most popular dishes so again I apologize that it was not up to your expectations. I will find out what happened on your visit and make sure it never happens again.

Again thank you for visiting us during your stay and we hope you will give us another try on your next trip to Isla Mujeres!

“Great find!!”
Reviewed March 10, 2013 via mobile

We rented a house at Punta Sur and went looking for a place to celebrate our friends 40th birthday and happened on a gem. The views are awesome. The owner Patty from Texas was great. She pulled out a $300 bottle of Tequilla and gave our friend a shot for his birthday. Invited us back for breakfast and to snorkel and kayak at her dock. Which we most definitely did. One of our group got a massage at the spa and she said it was one of the best she had ever had.

We also came back for Valentine Day dinner. Food was really good. Service wasn't up to par with other visits but it was packed. And even so everyone was very friendly.

We would definitely go back to Casa de la Suenos.
