We stopped in here because it was very close to the villa in which we stayed. The service and food was so good. The view was amazing and the host showed us around the hotel. We didn't make it there for dinner but have heard great things about it. We will have to go back again so we can try it.

Tried this place out today and was pleased with the dishes. Quality and flavour were great and I would recommend eating here for the food, but...

What I did not like is the 18% auto tip that must be paid. Some restaurants in Mexico do auto tips and I can understand it in certain cases, but they are optional, you can have them take it off the bill. This restaurant however, does not deserve 18%, and should not be including it as a mandatory part of the bill. We asked them to remove it, they said no.

As well, if you pay by credit card, they charge you in USD, not Pesos. Every other place I go gives you the option. Good for americans, but americans aren't the only travellers out there. So we get hit with two conversions.

Overall, I would not recommend this restaurant for the very fact that the 18% is mandatory. This is disappointing as we really liked the food.

My average rating reflects the great food and poor auto-grat practice.

***They do say the tip is 18% on the menu but it does not say that it is mandatory.

We ate here for a party and the "buffet" was awesome - every single item was authentic and tasted great. Waitstaff took great care of us during the day w/ drinks and anything we requested. We also tried the smoked pork tacos........TO DIE FOR! Can't wait to come back!

We came across this property by running into and meeting one of the owners and were invited to a Halloween party. When we got there, we were greeted by both owners with welcome arms, drinks and a special table for us. As they state, they want to make this hotel a place you can call "home." And that's exactly how we felt. We unfortunately did not stay here (we had other accommodations already) but we did come back at least three times and we were treated as if we were overnight guests. We went snorkeling, swimming, used the kayaks, it was relaxing, welcoming and we were sad to leave. The smoked pork tacos are AMAZING also - great drinks too! Everyone and everything about this place is A+ and when we return we will be booking here no doubt!

I gotta tell ya, this place is so gorgeous. From the stepping stone entry, to the infinity pool, the view, the decks below - so very luxurious and staff so accomodating! We were welcomed in and sat by the pool at first - chatting with a friendly couple from Fla. who clued us in to the hurricane (Sandy) that was due to hit our area (NJ) in a few days. We were served drinks and could run a tab all day. We swam in the pool and sunned for a bit and then went down the steps to the decks below. There were cute palapas and a broad wooden stairway into the water that I really liked. Long pier - snorkeling was pretty interesting and not too much sea grass (no squishy sand on the bottom, thank goodness). We were waited on all day - we were pretty much the only folks down there. Oh you could rent a canoe or kayak - I mean borrow - pretty sure they were free. We had the best pulled pork (me tacos, hubby sandwich) and very attentive service. We loved it there and will definitely be back. Stop in - you won't regret it!
