“welcome to paradise.................”
Reviewed September 17, 2012

While on my holiday in Cancun I took a trip over to Isla Mujeres and rented a golf buggy to get about, and whilst driving along the coast I came across this beautiful hotel just tucked away behind a few trees. The front was open and I could see through to the pool area and it literally stoped me in my tracks, I had to stop and go in and have a look, and was not disapointed! Myself my partner and our friends had lunch here and it was the best meal we ate all holiday, the staff were incredibaly friendly and showed us around the hotel, every room was decorated with tender loving care and there was so much attention to detail, down to the beautiful hand embrodered cushions pottery and artwork all purchased locally. This hotel boasts charecter and serenity, and the pictures on its website do not do it justice this place needs to be seen first hand. The staff let us use the pool, towels and the snorkeling equipment all free of charge, and went over and above to ensure we were enjoying ourselves, and we were not even staying the night. Their passion for the hotel is incredible they truly love working there it shows in the way they speak so fondly of the owner and the place itself. On my next visit to Mexico I will definately be booking a few days here its a must, it truly is paradise................

“Absolutely stunning! and service impeccable”
Reviewed September 10, 2012

So glad it rained that day!!!!
We happened on this hotel one golf cart day. It starting pouring so bad we couldn't drive. Happened right in front of the hotel where a man was standing out & was waiving us in. We went into a beautiful sanctuary. He sat us down at a table, and said no worry's, "Me Casa es su casa" We had the BEST Margaritas I've ever had. They were made with top shelf liquor. (and reasonable) He made sure we were taken care of, brought us towels for the pool, and told us to go snorkel off there dock and use the kayaks. WOW cool, really?
happy hour drinks were half price and the way they made them, it didn't take many...I was feeling no pain :) It was the Best day we had on Isla, even with the rain! We took a look at the rooms, which are gorgeous, but a bit out of our budget:) He would have given us a deal for last minute stay, but we'd already paid for our Casita. We wished we would have came back for dinner here, as they had just opened the new restaurant. We talked with Chef Mike, he was a kick. LOVED this place!!!!!

“right @ the hotel”
Reviewed September 7, 2012

Several very beautiful hotels on the Island also have very good restaurants and this is the situation with Casa de los Suenos. The Restaurant sits beside the pool which is open to the public which is nice, the staff is very friendly and helpful. The food is good. The fish tacos were pleniful and the hamburger was a welcome treat after all the Mexican food I had been having all week. The selection of beer was varied and they were making lots of large blender drinkers while we were there. I would definitely recommend the restaurant for an up scale Isla stop on your golf cart tour.

“absolute kindness”
Reviewed August 20, 2012

after staying on the island for 6 weeks, i can say very easily that casa de los suenos was my favorite food/pool experience. i highly recommend this place.

though we did not stay as hotel guests, my husband and i were frequent breakfast, lunch, and dinner guests. every member of the staff was extremely kind. not "polite" but really genuinely nice. they talked to us like other human beings and not just a business interaction. this was particularly nice because we weren't hotel guests.

also, i would like to point out that the property is beautiful. from the open air cafe to the reflection pool, it's a very relaxing atmosphere on the main level (excellent for breakfast & lunch). once you go down the stairs to the restaurant, you're surrounded by beautiful tables, trees, and string lights. all of this overlooks the dock and additional grass umbrella seating down by the water (amazing for dinner and sunset cocktails).

the only improvement i can fathom is to see a few more vegetarian options on the menus. they currently have a few (which is not unusual on the island), but the addition of tofu options would be a delightful treat for the vegetarian traveling in latin america.

“extraordinarily welcoming”
Reviewed August 9, 2012

We went to the pool deck for a drink, and were treated with an unreal level of hospitality. Gonzo (customer service maven) and everyone else were gracious, welcoming, friendly without being intrusive...without even staying at the hotel, we were able to enjoy the restaurant, pool area, snorkeling dock, etc. The restaurant on the lower level had some of the best food we'd had in a long time.
