After being home only a few days after our recent seven night stay at Villa La Bella we are ready to return. When we arrived, the first words from our mouths to Curtis and Ashley were, "We're Home!" This was our third stay at Villa La Bella and are reluctant to tell too many people about the clean rooms, the great drinks, the friendly and attentive staff, the beautiful well kept grounds, the delicious breakfasts and the most gracious hosts as we want to keep this as our secret destination. Shhhhh! - Jan P., Jenks, OK

Room Tip: Love bungalo one with large round window, giving a great view of the grounds.

My wife and I took a belated honeymoon trip to Isla Mujeres and Villa La Bella seemed like the perfect thing for us. There are other hotels that will put you right on the sandy beaches, but Villa La Bella is perfect if you want to be able to retreat from the crowds at the end of the day or night, and just relax. The place is just beautiful to look at, and the view is incredible. Kids aren't allowed, last call is 9:30, and quiet time begins at 11pm, all of which was just perfect for us. Foodies will love the breakfasts. Everyone will love the margaritas and pina coladas. Ashley and Curtis are extremely friendly and helpful. Their personal touches really make you feel welcomed to the island. They have a small staff who also are really helpful and do a great job of keeping the place beautiful and comfortable. The logistics of staying there are pretty straightforward -- we walked, or took a cab into town or to the beach. One day we rented a buggy to explore the rest of the island, which was fun and worth it. Villa La Bella makes a great place to start your day and to end it. Thank you Ashley and Curtis!

Room Tip: We had the honeymoon suite -- spacious, great views from two different balcolnies!

I can't wait to get back!!! My husband and I stayed there on our 25th anniversary and fell in love with the place. When just 6 months later the chance to go again with my sister came up, I jumped on it. AS LONG AS WE STAYED AT VILLA LA BELLA!! Not only does every detail echo the uniqueness of Isla Mujeres, hosts Ashley and Curtis reflect the soul of the island - warm, caring and at ease. I have never been as relaxed as I am staying there. Curtis's craftmanship of the B&B and the beauty of every detail hits you like the waves crashing on the shore. And the breakfasts that Curtis makes are splendid and last you til dinner. Ashley's big heart shines through in every interaction from arranging a golf cart or booking a sunset cruise. They both put you at immediate ease which insures a perfect vacation. I can't wait to get back!!

Room Tip: I love palapas room 1! The most perfect of breezes comes through and caresses you til you relax!

This is my 3rd time at VLB and my sister's second time. This lovely B@B never fails to charm the flip flops off of me. From the best coffee anywhere in the morning to toasting the moonrising with made from scratch Margs at night I can not get enough of this place. We stayed in Palapa One and the view is the best on the island. Ashley and Curtis have turned their island house into a spectacular retreat for the weary traveler.
We can not get enough of this place and plan to come back here every year!
Thank you Ashley and Curtis and thank you Isla Mujeres!

I have been going to Villa La Bella since they opened for the best margaritas on the planet. I finally got a chance to stay there this trip and the experience was by far THE BEST I have ever experienced. Ashlley and Curtis make their home your home. Every detail is exceptional and the care and love they put into your stay with them makes you want to stay forever. The details to this fabulous place are incredible, right down to the beds, the decor, and the outside ambiance. With only 6 rooms there is never more then 12 people at any time. You instantly become a family as you share the most wonderful breakfast included in our stay. One must stay for a Saturday morning of chicken burrito's with mole sauce, along with fresh fruit yogert and fresh pastry. Coffee and tea when you rise and just take in the beauty around you. They cater to your every need with suggestions for restaurants and activities spot on. They greet you and wave you good bye upon your departure, as if you truly on a part of their family. They deserve a five star rating.

Room Tip: Any room will be a treat. A honeymoon suite, 2 poolside rooms, and two upstairs rooms with swinging...

Hosts Ashley & Curtis take hospitality to its highest level. Their resort is beautiful, the setting wonderful, and the employees fantastic. In this cookie cutter hotel room day and age it is refreshing to find a small inn that has been shaped by the love of its owners. Special touches surround you at every turn. Ashley provides fresh cut flowers while Curtis prepares fantastic home made breakfast. Not a bad start to the day! A lovely pool/jetted tub await you with the bar and excellent home made Pina Coladas just steps away. Looking for something special in town? Curtis has you covered. You can keep your five star corporate lodging. Villa La Bella is a real treat, one not frequently encountered.

My husband and I came for a long weekend to celebrate our first anniversary. The rooms and the views are stunning. Not all the rooms are air conditioned, but before you freak out, it actually isn't necessary. The ocean breeze and the bug-free settings make sleeping with the windows a bit open ideal. Those rooms have suspended beds and make for an unforgettable stay. We also tried out the honeymoon suite, which does have air and is only a fraction more. However, I think I enjoyed the other rooms with open air even more. In addition, the breakfasts are delicious and the service very friendly and eager to help. This B&B is located right on the water, but does not have beach access. Even so, I would would definitely stay here again because it is only a minute and 30 pesos to the main beaches without all the headache (drunk, bachelorette parties, etc...) that you get right on Playa Norte. Also, great pool and overall, just a beautiful hotel. Thanks, Curtis and Ashley, for a memorable anniversary stay.

Room Tip: Ask for the Ocean side palapa.
