We had a wonderful hour with the dolphins on the Royal experience - we recommend this over the cheaper option. Trainers are professional and dolphins appear to be extremely well looked after. The scramble to return the life jackets, change and return your locker key means very little time to review your pictures before boarding the boat to the Garaffon. The price of the pictures are extortionate - $100 for 2 people. What a shame to see so many people who would like to buy them being turned off (there is an option of 1 for $25) left a little sour taste with us to be held ransome like that. Be aware that you will need to pay this if you want pictures.

Take the time and spend the money, it is a lifetime experience!
Any package is worth it just to be with the dolphins, you also get full use of the pools and free buffet with the price of admission.

I had always wanted to swim with dolphins, and this ended up being a wonderful venue for it. We got a lot of "dolphin time," and I felt it was well worth while.

The trainer did a great job with all of us, and we all had an amazing time there. I would definitely go back.

You get an hour in the ocean with the Dolphins with alot of hands on interaction. Kiss on the nose, Kiss on the cheek, dancing, spinning circles, holding, pushed in the air by your feet, pulled through the water etc. You learn alot about the dolphin that the trainer will tell you.

The ferry ride going to the island was very bumpy and made my stomach a little unsettled, but once I got off and after 5 minutes I was okay. The dolphin discovery seems to be organized, you get a locker to put your belongings in and there are restrooms and outside showers to rinse off the salt water after your swim. There is a building, which you will find a gift shop, an area to view your pics and pay for your pics. Our photographer took my husband and I along with a small group of people to the area where we would be in the water with the dolphins. As you enter the water it is pretty cold since it is the ocean and be careful walking down the stairs it is very slippery and hurts your feet. The trainer introduces himself and talks to you about what your going to expect and using different hand signals and body positions. The platform that you stand on is hard to stand and I found myself falling back and would have to grab on to the fence that was behind us. When it is not your turn to be interacting with the dolphins, you have to stand back so you are not in someone else's picture.

There were about 8 people in our group so everyone gets a turn to do a couple of things with the dolphins so be patient and know that you will be in the water for almost an hour, but the water doesn't seem to bother you after awhile and it is a lot of fun, and you find yourself cheering on the other people in your group. Our dolphins were the oldest ones there, and unfortunately we had one named Helen that was unpredictable and didn't always listen to our trainer Carlos. At the end we were hoping Carlos was going to have them perform for us, but he didn't so that was a slight disappointment. We noticed that the people next to us had their trainer have the dolphins perform. When it's over you walk back to the lockers, shower and dry off. Make sure you take your own towels, they do not provide ones for you. When you go inside to look at your pics, be prepared to pay. They charge $100.00 for a cd of 50 or so pics, and for an extra $35.00 you can get a bound hard cover book with 28 of your pics. That is what we got, although pricey we felt it was well worth it!

Overall it was a very fun first time experience, and my husband and I enjoyed getting up close and personal with these lovable and smart sea creatures. They are so soft and it was a lot of fun to swim with them :)
