“Great People”
Reviewed October 25, 2013

Went last week and had a great time. The fajitas and margaritas were fantastic and the atmosphere was great. Seemed to have a lot of xpats just hanging out having a great time. It is right next to where the fisherman bring in their catch and you can buy lobsters and fresh fish right out of the back. Nice place to pop in for a drink and a bite.

Owners are from Texas and seemed to be really nice folks.

“Go on the food days”
Reviewed October 21, 2013

the bar is a typical pirate/college bar, but the "special food days" are amazing. Tacos and ribs are killer and some of the best on the island. again, they are only available on the certain day.

“Cool laid back”
Reviewed October 17, 2013

This is a very cool laid back place that you might miss if you didn't know. Good Margs, small quiet and quaint. Would love to stay here sometime.

“The Atmosphere is Everything”
Reviewed October 12, 2013

Soggy Peso is an experience. Run by American's from Texas, they have taken the atmosphere of Isla and put it into a bar. Built under a pulapa, guests leave hats, shorts, there is even a wrestling championship belt hanging in the rafters where guests can leave a part of them behind. The staff is very friendly, they make sure they find out your name and they refer to you by name often during your visit. On Sunday's they have authentic Texas barbecue (each day featuring a certain food item as their daily special). It is an Isla staple.

“Must stop”
Reviewed October 12, 2013 via mobile

We unfortunately missed dinner at soggy peso last time we were on isla.
We headed straight there this time
Only to find it closed for vacation!!
But the owner said he was opening back up later in the week so we made sure we went back!
We loved the place!!!
Best margaritas on the island.
Taco and shrimp ceviche were great.
Iguanas wondering around the bar
Waiting for scraps just topped the experience off.
