We attended Christmas Eve Mass at his local church. Although the mass was in Spanish, it was a beautiful experience as the local residents were all dressed in their Christmas best.

After eating at Mango Café, I walked across to the church and entered this beautiful place with such awe. The stations of the cross were very pretty, and just sitting quietly for a few minutes brought great peace.

On the Caribbean side of the island, across from Mango Cafe. Open, airy and beautiful. The church bells ring in the morning, and you can hear them across the south end of the island.

This architecturally uninspiring church is not much in the way of an attraction...bland construction that is out of place anywhere, let alone in this vibrant island community renders the place un noteworthy. However, the active basketball games out front and the active singing during Masses, and the mind-blowing parades and gatherings for the feasts of key Saints and the Virgin Mary are without peer! First two weeks of December, mid August, Christmas and Easter are al just lovely to behold here!

A nice, simple church in the centro. The church has Stations of the Cross which are focused on the hands of Jesus - nicely done, unique yet prayerful. You may also went to check out two other Catholic churches on the southern end of the island: Our Lady of Guadalupe, overlooking the Caribbean, and Sacred Heart, which has a very nice parish community and priest.
