“Excellent dinner; vegan and vegetarian friendly”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 30, 2014

An altogether excellent dining experience. Situated towards the end of Av.Hidalgo, it's a little bit quieter than those further down, which is pleasant. The restaurant is also nice decorated and furnished, so you feel you're paying for a little extra than some of the other similarly priced restaurants. To top it off, our food was absolutely excellent. After we were seated and our order taken, we were offered nachos and home-made salsa while we waited for our food. We went with the blue corn empandas to share to start, and they were utterly delicious. Two of the three 'Lola Specials' were vegan, which is great, and across the menu there were plenty of vegetarian options. My main was a curry coconut with market vegetables; it was delicious. No complaint or criticism other than perhaps the portion of rice could have been a little bigger, but that's nitpicking. My husband enjoyed his salad. The staff were great. The food, service, and the restaurant itself were of an excellent standard. Definitely one of my highest recommendations!

“On My Must Do List”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 29, 2014 via mobile

We were looking for a good restaurant that was in town, but equivalent to the quality of Mango Cafe, and low and behold we were told about this restaurant owned by one of the past owners of Mango Cafe.
I could eat breakfast here every day, it is that good. Everything from the coffee to the sticky bun is fresh, delicious and of great quality ingredients. The waiter was just great too. You must try it for one of your meals in Isla.

“Sweet and savory breakfast”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 28, 2014

We ate here for breakfast our last morning and it was a special treat! The prices were reasonable, the food very yummy, and free coffee refills!! I had the cinnamon roll pancakes and my husband had the seafood crepes . . . Both delicious!

“Fresh, healthy food with wonderful service”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 28, 2014

First, the service was great. The executive chef is American (as was the waitress) and there is something of a Californian touch to the Mexican/Caribbean food with its attention to fresh food and flavors and healthy eating. That said, the food was a bit hit or miss. I found everything a bit on the bland side, except for the coconut rice, which I found too sweet. My sister also wasn't a fan of the fish tacos. The dessert empanada was delicious though (figures it's the least healthy thing we had...).

“Nice ambience ”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 24, 2014 via mobile

Food was pretty good. Coconut shrimp was just cooked with a sauce. Not breaded like I expected. Portion was nicely presented. There was cabbage in between the rice and shrimp.

Good drinks.
