Owner description: Isla Mujeres Museum Capitan Dulche. This Museum is dedicated in loving memory of Captain Ernesto Dulche Escalante, founder or the 5th Naval Region (Isla Mujeres). Captain Dulche´s Maritime Museum treasures a big part of Isla Mujeres history, this is documented in a great photo collection of over 150 that have never been seen before. The Museum also contains an excellent collection of anchors, buoys, chains and lanterns, maritime tools and two projection rooms, showing one video of the famous mexican diver Ramon Bravo and the even more famous Jacques Cousteau. It also has the largest collection of model ships and metates in the whole mexican caribbean.

We ended up here by accident but stopped in with our young child and had snacks/drinks. Food was very good. Pescadillas were the best. Museum as also a nice treat. Very clean and quiet.

Beach was clean and had nice set up. Daughter had a great time playing around without large waves.

However, it was very quiet which we found refreshing but if you are looking for a hot spot. This is not the place. If you are looking for good atmosphere, drinks, food and a nice quiet beach --- plan to spend some time here!

What a fun place! The cobblestone drive off the main road transplants you into a tropical oasis! The "host" greets you as soon as you pull in and lets you know all the amenities of the location. You must stop and visit the beautiful Macaw parrots! The beach itself is wonderful and offers private palapas to each guest. Their food and drink menu is wonderful! Lots of really creative drinks and food options.

The surprising part of this location is that their is NO CHARGE to use their beach club! Most places charge quite a bit for a private palapa.

The ONLY downside to the location....the beach sand is white and soft and the water nice and clear. However....the first few steps into the water are a little rough! Lots of seashells and rocks! Once you are past that though, it's a sandy bottom.

What a great place to have a cool drink on a hot afternoon!
This is a surprisingly polished and beautiful beach themed bar and restaurant. Definitely worth a look when you're away from downtown.

The area around this little museum was the nicest restaurant/lounge/bar I went to on the island. They have put a lot of money in to the property and it has a beautiful view, beach and new chairs/tables/bar. I would have stayed all day if I could. Defiantly a stop to make. Best guacamole I had as well :)

This is really a cool place. Only thing missing is a nice beach. One of the nicest and cleanest bars you will visit while on Isla.
