Owner description: Isla Mujeres Museum Capitan Dulche. This Museum is dedicated in loving memory of Captain Ernesto Dulche Escalante, founder or the 5th Naval Region (Isla Mujeres). Captain Dulche´s Maritime Museum treasures a big part of Isla Mujeres history, this is documented in a great photo collection of over 150 that have never been seen before. The Museum also contains an excellent collection of anchors, buoys, chains and lanterns, maritime tools and two projection rooms, showing one video of the famous mexican diver Ramon Bravo and the even more famous Jacques Cousteau. It also has the largest collection of model ships and metates in the whole mexican caribbean.

“good for a quick stop”
Reviewed May 24, 2013

We came there really early and we took a drink and walk around and thats it,4 parrots living there and they scream really loud one is smarter than the others and it never stop to say hello!
Nice statues of musicians ,nice bar (boat shape) nice beach and a great setting with the lounge chairs its really private but its not really swimable there honestly because there is too much seaweed, the museum is nice a quick stop its enough for us .

“Nice secluded beach however use SEA SAFE--for sea lice”
Reviewed May 18, 2013

Loved this place--nice chairs, food drinks--very secluded--however Amazon sells this stuff called Sea Safe for the sea lice which are jellyfish related--wish I would have known--my sister and I both have them and they itch like CRAZY!!! Still worth going to Mexico!!!

“OK to visit”
Reviewed May 17, 2013

The grounds are really pretty. They had a few parrots you could take pictures of and a neat little museum (50 pesos i think). We did not eat at the restaurant or visit the beach area but they both looked very nice.
