It seems to be a common theme here on the island. Great potential but can't rise to the occasion. One of the nicest locals on the beach, but plastic resin chairs with a tarp flapping for a roof. Still could have been good, but the service was really slow. The food was very average but reasonably priced. I think I'd walk a little further and go to Bahli-hoo.

Loved the ceviche and fried fish and sitting right by the beach. Great service and there is marimba music in the afternoon. Very casual and very typical of the island. The fish comes in here so they have the freshest on the island.

Cheap, delicious, and a dive with a view of fisherman bringing their catch in to dock! When you see locals eating somewhere, you know this is the place to be. Everywhere else is just an expensive or chain imitator of this place. DO NOT miss eating their lobster with "mixed" sauce, which is garlic and butter. I am reduced to a quivering pile of happiness thinking about eating this along with fried calamari, conch, and their seafood relleno. Good, huge margaritas. Their service remains really questionable, unless you are lucky enough to get the male owner on hand -- he is proficient. We went across the street to buy Meninos t-shirts, which the shop owner carries hidden underneath a shelf. Now I proudly advertise Meninos in the states!

First and last stop during every stay. Seafood is always excellent and the margaritas are the best on the island. Casual island eating at its best.

Thanks to the agency we used for our bus tours we were told about this restaurant which is located right on the beach, It is in the downtown section of the island in Playa Norte. It is not to far from the Ultramar Ferry Terminal where we caught the ferry back to the hotel zone. Charlie Drew had suggested we try this place and we thank him for suggesting it. The staff was welcoming and friendly. It was full when we got there about 2:00-PM. Most people dining looked like local business persons. It's not fancy in that the tables and chairs are plastic and your floor is the beach. The fish we both had was fresh and prepared very well. The portions were large and had eye appeal. It was a very relaxing way to end our da yon Isla Mujeres. We took the ferry from Kilometer 9 on Kukulcan Blvd(Playa Caracol). The round trip ticket was about $21-Dollars per person. We caugh a ferry about 10:30-AM. This ferry does not go directly to the island but makes a fast pick up by Kilometer 4. From there it was about a 25 minute ride by a very modern and fast boat. We like many rented a golf cart. The price for like 8 hours was $500-Pesos. Many seemed to rent moter scooters, If you go out to Isla Mujeres I suggest you plan to have your lunch or early dinner at Minino's Cocteleria!
