Description: Pita Amore - A unique fusion of Mediterranean and Mexican cuisine, prepared with love, on a family-secret pita bread. Chino, vegetarian, chicken and beef and beef with egg ommelet. Nicely basted with a pesto, grilled to perfection on a plancha. Topped of with the secrets of our French Culinary Institute of New York Graduate Chef Ricardo. This food is addictive - a single visit just doesn't cut it. Unbelievable to find this quality of food in Isla Mujeres near Cancun Quintana Roo Mexico.

“Meet, eat, re-pita”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 18, 2014 via mobile

Basic place and probably a better lunch destinations for most visitors, but hands down, what an awesome pita. We had both the chicken and the classic and both equally as good.

Will try to sneak an other one before leaving, like one of the quotes from a previous visitor on it's walls:

Meet, eat, re-pita.

“Follow your nose to fall in love!!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 16, 2014 via mobile

We have passed Pita Amores on several occasions and while it is not open for lunch, we were attracted by the smell of onions and chicken cooking with herbs and mushrooms. We felt like Greek mythical sailors drawn to the sirens only the sirens were the chicken and onions cooking! On previous occasions we had just eaten. Last night it was the destination. Have to say these were the best chicken, mushroom, opinion pitas we have had in some time. Pita Amore serves water and soft drinks only but you can bring your own wine or beer from the Super Xpress around the corner. Will return. Service was friendly and efficient.

“Take the time”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 16, 2014

Take the time to find this place. It is across from the clinic and easy to miss. The inside is small but works. The pita menu is limited but great. My wife and I ate there twice and found the food to be excellent. The owner is incredibly friendly and the food is served quickly. We ate inside but many people were getting take out. This is good place for a meal that is not expensive. Don't let the the negative reviews deter you. This place is a great bargain and is owned by a trained chef.

He does not serve beer etc. and you can BYO. Just step over to the grocery store and for a $1.25 you can grab a beer for yourself.

“Really nice spot”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 14, 2014 via mobile

Didn't make it to this spot last year when friends told me about it because they didn't think that there was a vegetarian choice - wow were they wrong - delicious pita, add the sautéed mushrooms if they have them and share the flan! Wonderful experience. On a pretty quiet street in El Centro.

“A great little spot for lunch.”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 8, 2014

This is a new little spot we found this year. What a find!! The pita sandwiches are unlike any you have ever had before. We had lunch there one day and shortly after we arrived the line was out the door. Amazing food for eating in at several tables or for takeout. Check it out when you are on the island.
