This place may not look like much but the food and service are VERY good. The garlic fish is excellent as are the fish tacos. The owners are very nice and the service was good.

I have been living in Isla Mujeres on and off for 2 years and have visited numerous times before that. I thought that I had had my favorite meals until I had the seafood soup (sopa de mariscos) with the chipolte chiles. I have eaten here before and liked it and thought it was a great value but this dish was THE BEST EVER. It had a baby lobster tail, melt in your mouth grouper, shrimp, conch, and octopus. And it was only 70 pesos. The owner is fantastic and he makes everything fresh. A must for the island and a nice getaway from the over-priced tourist zone down town.

Happened on La Bruja the first night on Isla Mujeres. We were very hungry. A fisherman had just sold his catch to Roberto (owner). We ordered the pascado entero. It was so good. The meal consisted of the whole fish, rice, small salad and vegetables. The steamed vegetables were frozen which was a bit disappointing. We returned for lunch today and had the marinated beef tacos. They were really good, too! The service is friendly and the server speaks English. We will be back a few more times before leaving this beautiful paradise.

Stopped in on accident. Met experienced tourists tht recommended the fish soup. This is a meal. Stuffed with a variety of fresh fish. Wonderful, small quaint, reasonable. Close to the womens bead co operative. Stop by there too while you're in the area.

This is my absolute favorite place to eat on the island. It’s a small hole in the wall, run by a husband and wife. I come here every time I’m in Isla. Bean soup is delish and can be a meal it’s so big. Guac, amazing. Enchiladas suissas.. AMAZING!! It’s in town but not really in town. More like in a residential area. It’s cash only and good prices. Don’t come here expecting food in 5 minutes. Order a beer, have some guac and talk to the owner. He’s a hoot! And wait for your yummy enchiladas to come out! You can off street park around the back if you find parking. If you're staying near north shore, it's about a 10 min walk. Not too bad of a walk.
