“Wildly beautiful”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 27, 2014

Take your time exploring this rugged area, it's beautiful. This is where the sun's rays first hit in Mexico. A little care is needed walking around the pathways as the railings need some attention. There is a metal sculpture park there also, the salt spray hasn't been kind to them. Inexpensive stop. We also enjoy sitting around a bit to watch the spear fisherman.

“Riding around in the golf cart”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 24, 2014

We went out for a ride and went here. OMG what a beautiful place and the view is breath taking. Only had drinks here at one of the tables overlooking the ocean. Nice breeze and you could walk all over it.

“Amazing Worth the money”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 20, 2014

So as you look at this place when you get there its not much to see BUT when you pay the $3 to go explore its worth it. There are trails to hike along the ocean and its truly amazing views. We saw caves that we went up in and we got to see Iguanas large and small ones you really have to watch for them as they try to blend with the rock. For what you pay to do things in Cancun this was a cheap fun experience and we would 100% go back. This island was he highlight of our trip.

“Tourist trap”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 19, 2014

In the middle of January, 2014 my husband and I were in Isla Mujeres. We did go to Punta Sur, briefly. As we pulled into the parking area they had a sign saying free admission... ok, well that was for the shops and restaurant they want you to go to and spend your money, at the beginning. So you walk down the side walk to the start of walking to the ruins and oh yes, they are charging you to go and tour the ruins, and to take in the beautiful views... which by the way the beautiful views are all over the island! You can see the ruins from where we were standing, and its not that we are cheap and didn't want to spend the extra money, its the misleading way they run that place. For a natural, beautiful area they mucked it up with metal rusty looking sculptures scattered everywhere, ruining the effect of the whole area. i would skip Punta Sir. Linda

“Natures finest on Isla Mujeres”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 18, 2014

If your gonna be on Isla Mujeres any time at all then going to the South end (Punta Sur) should be a part of your plans, especially if admiring natures beauty brings ANY happiness to you. We are completing our 4th trip today and I've been each time admiring all nature has to offer here and each time we've been thrilled to be there. If you'll make it a part of a golf cart tour of the Island then I'm sure it'll be the icing on the cake.
