“Punta Sur National Park”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 14, 2013

This park was a nice day excursion. We drove ourselves but it is also a stop for many tours. It was an affordable trip with lots to see - lagoon boat ride to see local birds, a great beach ( was too windy for us to swim when we visited), options for massage, beach club, some tourist shopping, a light house, options to see some wild life -raccoons, crocodiles, turtles and also some Mayan ruins. The entry fee is $12 us adults, $6 kids. Staff were friendly and helpful. the washrooms were frequent and clean.

“Must see!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 6, 2013

The south end of Isla is much different than Playa Norte. You'll find that it's quieter and a little slower pace on Punta Sur. The sculpture garden is amazing, with great views from the cliff!

“SURROUNDED BY VIEWS!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 2, 2013

No matter where you stand or walk on Punta Sur (Isla Mujeres) you are surrounded by ever changing views of rocks, water, sculptures, and a small ruin of the temple of Ixchel! The seabreeze really helps during the hot summer months, and even in September we appreciated the coolness of the Caribbean air! Spend some time, and grab lunch at the patio restaurant (have the grilled grouper sandwich) while having the views you'll never forget!

Gorgeous but windy. Worth a stop on an island golf cart trip. Some neat handicraft vendors. Nice phot ops!

“Breathtaking views”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 27, 2013

We rented a golf cart to explore Punta Sur. We stopped at an overlook to take amazing shots of Garrafon National Reef Park. We visited the Mayan temple ruins at Punta Sur and hiked along the paths to photograph the ocean cliffs. At one point, we saw a school of large fish with long snouts, possibly marlin or swordfish. We love Punta Sur!
