Superlatives just seem hollow. Really, folks, the food is THAT good. Go. Breakfast, lunch, dinner. Whatever. Just GO!

“Great Eatery!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 11, 2010

This Location is nicer than most due to its north end location on the Hidalgo strip. The presentation is simple perfection. The Hosts are very friendly. They serve a mix of Local and American Cuisine. I do wish that the plates were a little fuller with vegetables...
other than that the sauces were amazing...especially the grapefruit reduction on the lobster tail. The $25 steak and lobster was affordable unlike the MANY of the other places on the street.
This place is clean and inviting. The breakfasts are great. I liked this place the most on this strip especially when i was dining alone. Thank you both for being so nice!

“Make sure you go to Rooster, really I'm serious, don't miss it!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 17, 2010

We had lunch on our first of five days on Isla Mujeres. Wow, what a find! We were treated to an amazing salad that would rival the best that I've had ever and I like my salads! We enjoyed the experience so much that this became our breakfast haunt for the whole trip! Sergio and his staff, especially Sandra, were so attentive and welcoming. We were greeted as we walked by and it felt like home! We will be heading back to Isla Mujeres and when we do, this will be the first place we will go to and you can count on that!

“We LOVE Rooster!! We went for dinner on...”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 13, 2010

We LOVE Rooster!! We went for dinner on our last night on Isla & HAD to go back for lunch before we left the next day!! Sergio is a TRUE chef and both he & his wife were so friendly. There was a large group that night and just he and his wife there. We felt very welcomed & they were still very attentive!! The FOOD was amazing!! We had the squash soup with a little lobster bite - it was to die for!! For our entrees we had the chicken curry salad & the tenderloin with port reduction. Again amazing!! After eating we were lucky enough to meet Sergio & found out he was previously in Las Vegas cooking at Matesse under Charlie Trotter!! Not surprising after you taste the food!

Everyone raves about the breakfast here which I'm sure is outstanding as well - but don't miss dinner either!! A true stand out on the island!!

I love Rooster Cafe. The owner is quite nice and his yogurt is incredible, and his pastries are to die for! Looking forward to returning for more in December!
