The staff was so very kind. The atmosphere sweet. The bread they put on the table was incredible- some kind of sweet, but not too sweet bread. Sadly the huevos rancheros were just eggs with hot sauce on top. The potatoes on the side were very few and not great. My friends eggs were fine, and the hash browns nothing to write home about.

This was the first place we ate at on our arrival to the island. Boy did we get that right. Cold cerveza and awesome fish tacos. We saw the breakfast menu and made a point of returning a couple mornings later and it was just as good, if not better, than our initial experience. You can't go wrong with this place. Great service at an affordable price.

We passed this place one evening and it was dead. I subsequently discovered it is a breakfast and lunch specialist! And by specialist, I mean nothing comes close to their breakfast offerings! Best coffee on the island for sure. Proper ground bean coffee, full of flavour and deep in colour.
The food matched the coffee. A range of eggs whichever way you could imagine them, with any meat you could imagine (try the Portuguese sausage… delicious!)
Portions were very generous, and definitely great value. Eggs ranged from $65 pesos, through to a whopping $95 pesos (where we have seen others charge more for less). Other more exotic lunch dishes never topped $130 pesos, and the place was very busy indeed. Staff were very friendly and quick to respond to our requests.
We sat outside in the sun, while there was plenty of seating inside for those who don't enjoy the hot sun of the Caribbean.
Overall, I think this place is hard to beat, and the experience was (so far) unrivalled after several days of eating on the island.

Roosters was a great place for breakfast. I had the Greek omlette one time and ?? I forgot what kind the next. It had goat cheese in it - yummy. Each time was served potaotes. My companion had oatmeal and fruit each time. Very casual,. Wait staff very friendly and upbeat. Bread is served with each meal and that was great too.

You can not beat the iced Rooster (jasmine) tea and a homemade walnut muffin for breakfast. I was lucky enough to meet the owner (Sergio) this trip, as well as his brother Luis - both are so friendly and service-oriented. All of the staff are refreshingly upbeat and enthusiastic. The wifi works great in case you like to work while you dine. Want air conditioning on the island? This is definitely THE place for a cool indoor environment in case you don't want to sit outside.
