My husband and I stayed here for five days. Luis was extremely helpful in arranging a car service from Cancun airport to the ferry. The roundtrip ferry tickets are 140 pesos. When you arrive at the docks on Isla Mujeres, you can see the hotel from the boat. Its a few blocks to the right. It would have been very helpful for the hotel to offer a golf cart to pick you up from the ferry as we had multiple suitcases and it was very hard to navigate on the uneven sidewalk and streets while dodging the vendors trying to sell their crap. Paying the extra few dollars was well worth having a bay view room with balcony as the views are beautiful. The room was standard with all the basic items we needed. There was a strange smell in the bathroom, but we just kept the door shut to solve that problem. It was very quiet and nice the first couple days and unfortunately a very loud family with many kids took over the pool for majority of the day and evenings. The pool is in the center of the hotel so the sound just echoed and amplified straight through our room even though it was on the third floor. Luis and Adeymar helped with suggestions for places to eat, but we quickly learned that we could walk to Hidalgo Street and have our choice of food.

My sister and I stayed at Bahia Chac Chi for 7 days. It was very relaxing. The place was very clean. Maid service was in daily to clean and supply fresh towels. A couple times we had to ask for extra but they always gave them to us with no hassle. We got 2 bottles of water the first day we were there, then you have to buy it at the bar or get some at the store. They have a medium sized fridge in the room which made it very nice. We went to the store and got stuff we needed any everything fit in the fridge just fine. They will also supply you with ice at the bar area. AC works great.

The staff was very friendly, especially Adeymar. He was fantastic and always had a smile for you. He is learning the guitar and sounds pretty darn good too.

We had room 405 which was on the top floor on the corner with the bay view. We had a private balcony with a full wall. The rooms in the middle only have half walls to seperate the balcony so that might be something to consider. The room had a king bed and a double bed, which we both thought were very comfortable, plenty of drawers and closet space. It has a large shower, although our water pressure wasn't very good and we couldn't get the shower jets to work right, which wasn't a big deal. There isn't a fan in the bathroom either. Other than that the room was fantastic.

The breakfast was as everyone else described, basic but it satisfied us just fine. The pool was small but my sister said it felt good when she was in it. I never made it to the pool since I was scuba diving while she stayed at the hotel. It is just a very short walk from the ferry dock so you don't have to pay for a taxi to get there.

Room Tip: I would definitely get the bay view. Pool view isn't much too look at.

We stayed for two nights, in a double with a bay view. The room was lovely, clean and chic looking, with a great shower and a huge bed. The balcony overlooked the harbour.

This is quite a small hotel, the staff were very friendly and helpful with booking trips and giving advice.

The breakfast is basic, fruit, bread and cereals (all sugary!)

The hotel is very close to where the boats arrive from Cancun, and on the edge of the town centre for shopping and restaurants etc (it's not a large place) but a bit of a walk to the beaches at the north of the island - about 15 mins to the very north.

We stayed at this hotel for 5 nights. Very clean hotel, get ocean view it's worth it! Good AC! Within 10 minutes walk to the beach. We tried the pool a couple of times since there was too much wind on the beach. Pool was very refreshing. Breakfast is included, very basic but a good start. Eat in town and you'll be more satisfied. They provide beach towels everyday. Would recommend this place anytime!

My wife, 11-year-old daughter and I just spent a week at the Hotel Bahia Chac Chi. This was our second consecutive year to spend a week there, and this year was even better than last year. Once again, our room was immaculate and comfortable, and the bay view was outstanding. They added a mini refrigerator in the room since last year. The staff were all excellent; especially Adeymar and Luis at the front desk. They speak perfect English (but will help you practice your Spanish if you want), and are very knowledgable and helpful in arranging activities. We told Adeymar early one morning that we were interested in a tour to Tulum and Coba and by the time we finished breakfast, Luis had complete information ready for us. When we asked him, he made arrangements, and we took the tour the next day. Luis also set us up to swim with the dolphins and got a good discount for us. The pool is also very clean and pleasant, and breakfast was delicious and healthy. Their location is also very convenient, a block from the ferry dock and in walking distance of everything in town. We are already planning a return trip there next spring. One more thing, going after the high season saved us a bundle of money!

We stayed here one night. We were planning on two nights but were glad we only committed for one. The hotel is clean and modern. The staff were excellent. Adeymar, at the front desk, in particular was great!

Our bed was like sleeping on a box, it was awful. We had a room with a king and double. It was my wife and I, normally we would sleep in the king. We had to abandon the king and sleep in the double as it was marginally better than the awful king. We have traveled alot, in both south america and central america. We normally enjoy good breakfasts at hotels. This breakfast was disappointing. There was only a minimal amount of fresh fruit and cereal. (Plus some yougurt, toast, etc.)

The other amenities, wifi, drinking water, etc, were all excellent. The location is good, being very close to the ferries. We got a room with a view, which was fantastic.

Unfortunately, we cannot recommend this place until the beds are replaced and breakfast is improved. (We ended up eating breakfast in a resturant.)
