“Enchanting Feast”
Reviewed April 11, 2009

Dinner at Lolo Lorena's was one of the highlights of this trip. The setting is sensual and bohemian in an enchanted candlelit courtyard with handsome young men to cater to your every need and bring you course after course of Lorena's divine creations. The garden was verdant with fragrant herbs, the table dressed with flowing tablecloths and a pillowed bench along one wall. I feasted on four courses of delightful cuisine, never wanting it to end. The menu is prix fixe and up to 16 lucky guests dine on whatever Lorena decides upon that day. One sitting per night, one table? Fabulous!

“Fantastic”
Reviewed March 31, 2009

Lolo Lorena was JUST what we were looking for in Isla Mujeres--delicious, innovative, fresh food prepared with love and humor by Lolo. We loved it so much, we went twice in five days! Do not miss dinner with Lolo! She also has three gorgeous, unique hotel rooms--I'm only sorry we didn't know about them before we booked our trip.

“Cats”
Reviewed March 29, 2009

While the restaurant and shop are lovely and the food is good, I got completely turned off a couple of years ago and wont go back because she allows her cats to wander all over the place. The cats were walking on the tables with the fresh bread displays and the animals were brushing up against the food. She is a free spirit but that was a too much for me. It poisoned the atmosphere for me.

“Fabulous Food! Charming experience!”
Reviewed March 28, 2009

Lo Lo's is a MUST! We celebrated my daughter's b-day and lo lo made everything so special we could not have asked for more! My daughter's and I are BIG FOODIES! I run a small catering company from my home, everywhere we travel we seek excellent food! We went to LO LO Lorena's for dinner and experienced a thai shrimp and scallop dish; (that was to die for!!!) fresh grouper, with rice and beans in a white sauce with fresh herbs from her garden! For dessert she did a chocolate cloud; mousse with berries and fresh creme! We loved it so much we were back in a few days for breakfast! Crepes and berries with chocolate drizzel, and the most amazing crossiants i have ever had, and my daughter opted for the thai soup that was amazing! For breakfast she had us set up by the pool, it was wonderful; can't wait to return! Lo Lo and her staff make you feel so comfortable! Like you are a part of her family, it truly was an experience NOT TO MISS!!

“Fusion at it's finest!”
Reviewed March 20, 2009

Our dinner at Lolo's was like visiting a country even more exotic than the lovely little Isla Mujeres on which it is located. A true dinning "experience" that stimulates all your senses. Lolo's home / bakery and food is a mix of Mexican/Mediterranean with Parisian and Egyptian overtones. Each course was lovingly prepared and presented and didn't disappoint. A must for any foodies "to do list" when you are anywhere near Isla Mujeres.
