After reading the reviews we expected to pay $2 for a chair and $12 for the water activities. We were told that we needed to pay a facility fee in addition to the chair rental fee in order to use the pool/restrooms ect or spend a minimum of 10 per person on the food/bar. It was a rainy day and few people were even at the beach, we spent 3 hours there and did not spend the extra $$ but had no problems. I agree that the coral rocks were an issue, the water was murky . Carlos and Charlie's is right next door and we might try them next time. The water slides and inflatables were better than Mr Sanchos which we visited last year but I felt a bit pressured to spend more $$ here.

We went to Paradise Beach last week after seeing good reviews on here and Facebook pages, we were disappointed. Maybe I expected too much. First, it was $14 per person to use all the water toys and $2 for me to just have a chair (expected this). Then were told that each person had to order a min of $10 off the menu. Did not see this on their website or have anyone mention it. The water was murkey not clear at all. There is also a HUGE coral/rock n front of the water toys. You had to be very careful as it was very shallow. They were directing people around the rock to get the the water toys, but it was a very large piece that had the slimy seaweed/algee growing all over it. The pool area was nice and we did spend time there. We only bought $26 worth of drinks, but they wouldn't let us cash out so we gave them an even $40 and took off back to the ship.

We cruised down to Cozumel on Carnival in Sept of 2013. After doing much research before picking a place to spend the day we ended up at Paradise Beach. It's a short taxi ride from the pier and it's $14 per cab , not person. We went early got a great spot and paid the $12 for the all access to water toys, chair and umbrella and it's well worth it. We order a combo plate of authentic Mexican food for lunch and have not eaten Mexican food since we have been home. Hard to eat it when you had the real deal that was very, very good in Mexico. The area is clean and the staff was very nice. The pool area was nice but we stayed on the beach and then Moved to the hammocks under the tiki like hut and relaxed and watched the day go by. I did have a Mexican Gatorade which aided my nap time!! If we go back we will go again.

After reading good reviews on here, we decided to stop by from a cruise.
There were 2 ships in dock, but the beach wasn't too crowded.
Entrance fee is 2 bucks each person, with additional 10 bucks each to spend on food & drink.
The beach was nice & well kept. Water was crystal blue, and clear that I could see some fishes when I was in the water. We loved it so much that we didnt want to leave. We also enjoyed some time in the pool. Not noisy & very relaxing.

Lots of water activities for kids although probably not for those under 6-7. Nice bar for the adults if they don't want to play on the slides, floats, etc. Afternoon of fun.
