Beach is not crowded at all, waters are nice and clear. One of the nicer beaches in the carribean.
You can buy some overprice drinks in a small stand so bring drinks with you

“Paradise”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 15, 2013

We arrived at Playa Palancar at 10 am. We went snorkelling after a delicious breakfast, it was fun and the staff was professional and nice. Later, on the beach, there were some other tourists playing water sports, but that did not bother us, since after few hours they left and ALL the beach was ours. The lunch was excellent: succulent and crispy fried fish, perfectly marinated ceviche, tasty nachos with beans and shrimps. After a walk and a swim, as a miracle we saw 76 baby turtles come to the world and immediately reaching the sea. It was unforgettable.
The owner and the staff at Playa Palancar are very nice people, the service is excellent. I recommend this place to anyone who's looking for interior peace in a wonderful sea location.

“Playa Palancar is a beautiful remote place to enjoy a day at the beach”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 3, 2013

This place is absolutely gorgeous, the beach is the most turquoise water I have ever seen. Plenty of share and sitting areas. There is good food available to purchase and drinks. Went on an excursion that was just the transportation (didn't include food, etc) but do not regret it, will go back if the opportunity presents itself. Drivers outside of the port (cruise ship) were excellent and waited for us until we were ready to head back for $20/person not bad at all, it was about a 15 min drive each way, very friendly, clean.

“Quiet peaceful beach. Great food.”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 17, 2013 via mobile

When cruiseships are in town Finding a quiet relaxing beach can be difficult. This beach is beautiful, laid-back, quiet and peaceful. The restaurant is great and the fish tacos and ceviche are excellent.
