“private beach with lots of room”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 8, 2013

unlike some resort beaches, the playa palancar beach has room to spread out. you don't feel all cramped up, but the basic amenities are only a few steps away. shopping, food, restrooms, showers, boating and water activities... all right there.

“Hidden Gem”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 8, 2013

Our families 1st time in Cozumel on a day stop from a cruise. We did our research here on tripadvisor and decided with our limited time this was the place we wanted to go and WE WERE NOT DISSAPPOINTED!!!! This secluded beach was PERFECT!!!

The staff, especially Fernando were wonderful. We arrived about 12:30 and Fernando found us a shaded area right on the beach. The water was crystal clear and the kids (15 & 18) were able to see all kinds of fishes and plant life right off the shoreline. There was a floating dive dock that kids could swim out to and jump off of.

We ordered lunch and it was EXCELLENT. Nachos, tacos, guacamole, salsa, chips with 2 adult beverages and 2 sodas for the kids--under $20!!!

We felt very safe and there were lots of families with young (under 5 yrs of age) ther enjoying the sun and fun.

“SWEET GETAWAY!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 7, 2013

This is a very laid back and relaxing no pressure beach. We rented a scooter for the day and went to some other beaches but, we found ourselves coming back to the one we know and love. This beach is safe and secluded and it doesn't have the tourist feel to it. They have good food and drinks. The also have beach chairs and umbrellas at the tables to use. The best part about the beach is that it's free. Bring some extra cash for tips if desired.

This is a very picturesque little beach out in the country a little ways. Very quiet and pretty. The food was wonderful and the service was the best. Would like to be back there right now!!
