My family has been going to Cozumel and diving with Aldora for many years. This time we had a family reunion, bringing my husband's brother and family (including a 10 and 12 year old) of new divers who had been certified in a lake in the midwest. Almendra was our divemaster last year, and we were so delighted she was able to be with us for the eight days we dove. It is always wonderful to have the same dive master, but for the new divers, it was so valuable. Almendra was able to observe their skills and progress, give feedback and help us all become better divers. We were on several different boats, small and larger. On each boat we were given a safety briefing, and each boat had oxygen on board. All the boat captains, and Chino (crew) were so kind, patient, helpful and fun. On the smaller boat, we needed to do a back roll entry. My new diving family had never done a bank roll, and it can be a little scary. The captain who helped us all into our gear and position on the edge of the boat was so patient. As each person prepared he always said, "when you are ready". There was no rushing or pressure. Almendra made sure to point out big and tiny critters- we saw amazing things on every dive. Julian in the office keeps everything organized. Memo, the owner, is always around making sure everyone is happy. We were, indeed. We can't wait to return.
