Beautiful place full of great shops and friendly people. Had a wonderful time while here for the day while on a cruise with Royal Caribbean Brilliance of the Seas. Cannot wait to come back again!

San Miguel is a friendly town with excellent restaurants and many fun activities. I love the island, resorts, hotels, and fun activities. The reefs and marine life are my main interests, and the rest is icing on the cake.

The island is very beautiful and safe. The people are so nice but when the cruise shis are in, its extremely busy so if you want to shop but your not on a cruise ship, its best to wait until the cruise shis leave.

San Miguel offers great shopping opportunities as well as fabulous restaurants. Just a short cab ride from most of the cruise ship piers.

San Miguel is a very tourist oriented town, but well worth seeing. There are many bargains to be found from local merchants. San Miguel can get very crowded when there are several cruise ships in port, but you can always find locally owned restaurant/bars like Woody's, which we love. The owners Nelly and Pepe are hands-on and always treat you well!

Perfect little place, with the most friendly people and excellent food. I really like going to the shops and grocery stores checking prices compared to US. Everyone was so polite and appeared very happy, always smiling and making you feel welcome in their home town. I advise everyone that goes to Cozumel, to visit outside the tourist area and intermingle with the locals.

Go into town! Lots of stores for everyone, it gets frustrating with all of the shop keepers asking you to come into their shops but you get use to it. This is a tourist type of area and gets very busy when the cruise ships are in town. But no matter what it is worth walking around and spending some money to help out the locals!

Downtown is loaded with great restaurants. Simply walk one block away from the busy beach ad street area and you will be surprised. The venture away is the best the town has to offer.

We enjoyed our visits to downtown San Miguel. The atmosphere and town square are vibrant and fun! It's a fantastic place to shop for souvenirs or other goodies. The city of 100,000 - 120,000 people is safe and relatively clean. We walked the area around the square and marina and enjoyed the fountain in the evening.
I would recommend visting!
