This is our favorite restaurant We eat here so often we feel like the staff knows us. I love the jamaica that is served with the meals, the catch of the day is served sizzling hot with rice and salad. Also included with meals are soup of the day and tortillas with salsa. I can't wait to return to Cozumel and try even more items on the menu, but I know I will continue to order grouper often. They close early in the evening, so plan to eat like an early bird.

this restaurant was recommended by our door man at resort and what a great find. not a tourist in site, just locals with lots of smiles.. food was great, just like the locals eat and so much for lunch with prices very reasonable. soup, drink , chips, dip and rice all included with meal, fast service..they do not speak English so brush up a little on a few Spanish phrases and you'll do great. just a 4 block walk to town so enjoy the scenery after lunch. this is a must when traveling to Cozumel. the amount of take - out being prepared while we were there was amazing also, guess the locals know where to go..

On our recent cruise, we asked our dive shop to recommend a restaurant that is not where the tourists go but rather where they go. They immediately recommended Las Palmas. It is not on the beaten path but isn't so far that you can't make your way there on foot if you are in the downtown area. The menu was in English and Spanish but the servers did not speak English so with some pointing and basic words we were able to get what we wanted. There were 6 of us and everyone's food was exceptional. I had the grilled fish which was a big as the plate and came with rice, beans, salad and guacamole all for 65 pesos. WOW. Everything was freshly made including the chips and salsa. We were the only tourists in the place which is pretty much open air (no wall on the street side and open at the top of the wall across. They do a huge take out business as well which was fun to watch the locals stream in on foot and on their motorcycles. Try this place...you'll be back...I know I will.

Recommended by a local and Las Palmas did not disappoint!
This restaurant is NOT on the main drag so some of the reviews are for the wrong restaurant.
We were warmly welcomed and the lady in charge was very helpful...even bringing samples of the juice to try first before ordering.
The menu is in Spanish/English and we ordered from the lunch menu the beef fajitas & chicken fajitas... $6.00 each and they were excellent. Served with lots of extras as mentioned by another reviewer. You can pay pesos or US. We did order a side of guacamole to go with it.
We were the only Gringos there!
They also do take out.
