Wow! This was so great! We got there a little before our tour began and they set us up to watch a little movie until the rest of the tour showed up. The show was really interesting about the Mayans. Then Joseph described the process. You can tell he knows his chocolate. This was the best chocolate I have ever laid a lip over! So yummy! I will so be eating this chocolate again! It was also about $3 a bar cheaper to buy it at the factory then it was to buy it at the port! So worth the $10 for the little tour!

As with all the other reviews, they go through a history of cocoa, make a batch of chocolate with you, and in the end, also hope you will purchase their goods. While not the cheapest chocolate, it's wonderful. Loved it. Great for any age really. $10 tour. Takes a couple of hours. Best if you make reservations. They do try to accommodate if they can.

Reserve your tour online via their webpage a few days in advance, we called the morning of and did not get our preferred time but he was still able to accommodate us. The tour is given by the owner and he is very nice, fun, enthusiastic, and really made the tour. The best part is grinding the cocoa beans and learning all about the chocolate making process... well and the tasting- the chocolate is very good. The presentation was interesting but some of the history was a little more story than fact. Worth the time and great fun for families or couples.

Even though we were his only guests, the owner of this tiny chocolate factory took the time to talk to us for an hour about the Mayans and the history of chocolate. He showed us how he makes chocolate using the Cocoa bean in the same way with the same ingredients as the nature loving Mayans. We got to make and taste our own chocolate as well. This chocolate is seriously good too. It is probably one of the best I've tasted. My favorite flavors are chilli chocolate, coconut chocolate, and milk chocolate. And its affordable. For the chocolate I purchased, I paid a quarter of the price I would pay for less unique products in Seattle where I'm from. I am seriously impressed with this man's ingenuity, culinary skill and creativity. Very much worth the visit. To stock pile the stuff if for no other reason. I have a feeling that very soon this chocolate will be very much in demand all over the world.
