Owner description: After diving Cozumel for over 20 years, Allen and his wife Robin decided they needed to own a local dive operation in Cozumel. Having dove with Eduardo for several years, the three of them hatched a plan to start an operation that would provide divers with the best possible diving experience on the island. All avid divers, they knew what they wanted; small fast boats, top notch Dive Masters, the ability to dive any of the dive sites, and a certain level of creature comforts. Our family, 2 adults, one 18 year old, one 17 year old, a 15 year old and a 12 year old all did our open water check out dives with Sea Robin and then spent a week diving with them. They were great. Eduardo and Tony couldn't have been more helpful and accommodating. The boat holds at most 8 divers so usually it was just our family and maybe one other couple. The boat is very quick... nice so travel times down to the reefs are very short. Definitely give them a call if you are going diving in Cozumel

“Fantastic dive operation!”
Reviewed August 21, 2011

Traveled with 27 family and friends to Cozumel in August 2012 for our destination wedding!

After contacting Scuba Tony, we found out our dive group was too large, and he recommended us to Sea Robin.

We coordinated with Sea Robin many months beforehand to schedule everything, all through email, and the entire process was easy and stress free.

We booked the boat for four mornings, and the boat was private and only our group was on it. Most mornings we had 6-8 certified divers. Since we were in Cozumel for our wedding, we also decided to do an underwater scuba wedding!
The scuba wedding was super cute, and Sea Robin also recommended an underwater photographer to us (Nacho Gil, he was great!)

Eduardo was the dive master, and he was very professional, fun, and knew all the right places to take us. We loved having the boat to our selves, and Eduardo always made sure to have a nice fruit spread for us to snack on after the dives.
We even had to people do discover dive with Eduardo on one afternoon, and they absolutely LOVED it!

Another thing we really liked was that for our surface interval on a few mornings we were taken to a little pier with beach, so we could lounge around properly :)

I will definitely be contacting Sea Robin again in the future for all of my Cozumel dives!

“The highlight of our trip!!!”
Reviewed August 7, 2011

The whole family had a great time diving. Our family includes 3 sons at ages 12, 16 and 18. We arrived to Cozumel hesitant of doing the certification for open water scuba diver. At first we thought that it would take too much of our vacation time getting certified. After the first day, We were hooked and couldn't wait for our next lesson. Eduardo and David (our diving instructors) made our lessons very exciting while on the white sand beach with turquoise colored waters as the back drop. We thought we would be stuck in a hot, humid classroom for the theory part of the class. WRONG!!! We did that part on the beach with lots of fruits and water available. We took a swim in the nice 75 degress water during our breaks and the theory part went really fast. Where else can you have classes like that? With the theory lessons comes the practical. Eduardo and David made it feel really safe and FUN!!! They made it very personal. Going one on one and taking time to make us feel really comfortable with what we are doing. They repeated activities for us who didnt get it the first few times and did it with a smile. They had our right size equiptments for all 5 of us the following day. They even picked us up in our resort. They worked with our schedule and not the other way around which is really a relief to our teenagers who wanted to wake up late. They made the extra effort to make our lessons enjoyable. We did a total of 6 dives for the certification plus 2 extra dives for we couldn't get enough of it. The lessons and diving was the highlight of our trip!!! Were already planning for a return.....

“We loved it too!!!”

We just returned from Cozumel. Ya, Ya.. I know, another report saying so-and-so is the “Best Dive Operator in CZM.” And, no, I haven’t use every operator.. But, I can honestly say that we will use Sea Robin AGAIN! Based upon a recommendation of a friend, we booked our dives with Sea Robin. I can honestly say that we have no complaints! Their smaller boat avoids the “cattle-call” diving experience. A customer post on their website (searobindiving.com) called it “Gucci-diving.” We did three days of two-tank dives and the most we had on the boat was five divers (including Phil and daughter from the previous post. hi Phil!) DM Eduardo and Captain Choco were very knowledgeable and enjoyable to dive with! We are already planning our next trip to Cozumel and we will definitely use Sea Robin as our dive operator.

“We loved it!!”

I tried book with scubatony, only to be told he was full up for the time we would be in Cozumel, so he referred us to Sea Robin. Tony let Allen know our need for a good divemaster, so while I was busy writing to Allen at Sea Robin, Allen was writing to me! All plans were made the same evening!

Eduardo was our dive master, and happens to be a partner with Allen in Sea Robin. Eduardo is about mid thirties I guess, and has been diving the reefs since he was 11. I went with my daughter, 16, for March Break, and as novice divers, we could not have been in better hands. We did 8 dives with Eduardo, and even before we entered the water, he made us feel at ease, to relax and enjoy the experience. He told us to follow him so he can show us stuff, and boy did he ever! We saw many sharks, sea turtles, lobsters, a very long eel, a spectacular array of fish including monster Groupers, and as a special treat, he speared a few lion fish-an invasive species from Asia that is taking food away from native species (and has a nasty poison sting)-, and then let go of the lion fish, and we got to watch groupers and snappers go at it, then BAM! it was gone into some lucky grouper belly!

They picked us up at the Iberostar at exactly the specified time, dropped us off after the dives, and left us wanting more each time. Safety is #1 with them, and respecting the reefs and its inhabitants was also #1. We also got fresh fruit and bottled water during the break.

I can't say enough good things about SeaRobin and Eduardo! We also like the other dive master on the boat, Eric, who took the other divers down and made us all laugh!

Thanks Eduardo! See you in about a year...

Phil & C.A.
