I paid a total of 230 dollars for 4 dives including a refresher course which they said I should do even though I only qualified 4 months prior. The refresher course took 10 mins and wasn't even in the classroom yet they charged 70 dollars. As I was the only person they had that week they only took me to paraiso reef which is very near so don't use much petrol, twice and none of the reefs. When I asked Felipe if we could go to the other reefs he said he could but had to charge me. Don't dive with them they just want your money

Dear and valued customer thank you for your post, very unfair I would say, and since this is a public forum where folks come to decide who to buy from here is my side of the story.
You where schedule to take and Advanced course with us after you’re diving in Belize.
You changed your original reservation date a few days before arrival and we were just fine with that.
I picked you personally at your bungalow at 10:00 AM, you chose this schedule and we were fine with that to, we normally start earlier. And we do not make hotel pickups this was a request of your part and I agreed to it.
On the way to the beach to start navigation dive for the AOW you mention that only had a few dives and did not dive Belize as mentioned on your previous e mails, so we agreed to start fresh with a refresher course since you have about a eight logged dives; there we were Pedro a Dive Master for 30 years in Cozumel and me Instructor for 25 years; we went over all the basics of diving in English & Spanish since you wanted to practice the language , and Pedro took you in the water for around a good hour, practice all the skills till you felt comfortable and dove the little reef till you got low on air.
Dzhul ha reef is our training area and has lots to see.
After that you wanted to go off the boat and I arrange it, it was only you and still we took the boat out only for you at regular rate, no problem.
Next day I picked you again at 10:30 AM at your place and drove you to the Marina where once again we took the boat out only for you. Honoring your reservation.
Pedro took you to a wall dive at 60 ft, and the second dive to the part of Paraiso reef you didn’t get to dive since the previous day you had issues with your ears and could not descend to the bottom.
At all times your safety was our premise.
Service was really personal, respectful and courteous at all times. Actually was like a boat charter at the price of one diver.
Prices were as in the web site so there is no surprise at all.
Now money wise you send $ 50.00 usd to reserve for an AOW course, then changed your plan; then paid $ 100.00 usd first day and second day paid the balance of $ 80.00 usd
Your bill:
Refresher course $ 70.00 usd Privet services.
Boat dive one tank $ 50.00 usd only you and Dive Master
Equipment rental: no charge for you; we normally charge $ 15.00 usd
Computer rental: $ 10.00 usd in which you insisted even it was very shallow dives.
Total $ 130.00 usd
Second day: Again only you on board.
2 tank boat dive $ 75.00 usd regular rate.
Equipment rental $ 15.00 usd
Computer rental $ 10.00 usd
Total $ 100.00 usd

Courtesy rides 2 days from your hotel to the beach and marina. (Taxi coast at least $ 10.00 usd
each way so you saved $ 40.00 usd at least)
Day one plus day two $ 130 + $ 100 = $ 230.00 usd
We run a business since 1989 and we love what we do but diving is not cheap especially if you are diving solo.
This was the business part of it; but on top of that our Dive master took you around the Island no charge since you made good friends with him, and that dear customer is not for money is because we enjoy making new friends and shareing our Island with them.

Have safe and happy diving.

“Felipe is the best! Go to him if you want personalized, professional attention.”
Reviewed February 23, 2013

My husband (a non-diver) and myself (an amateur diver) spent two of our four days with Felipe and Captain Ricardo during our second trip to Cozumel this past January. There are so many positive things to say about this experience, where do I begin? I hadn't dove in over two years so Felipe helped me get reacquainted through a great refresher course. He made sure I was confident and comfortable by reviewing skills in a shallow reef. We then headed to Paraiso Reef for our second dive. He once again made sure I was comfortable and safe while viewing this beautifully diverse reef. I was completely mesmerized with tparrot fish and coral when something similar to a jellyfish managed to sting my ankle. I screamed loudly enough for Felipe to turn around and remove said creature from my ankle. We proceeded to view the underwater beauty as if it hadn't even fazed me. Meanwhile Captain Ricardo did a great job of helping my husband find some fun places to snorkel above us.

One day really wasn't enough to quench my thirst so we went out for dives 3 and 4 two days later. This consisted of a dive in Chancanaab Reef and my first shipwreck! I did not realize that the shipwreck would intimidate me but no worries; Felipe was there to help me acclimate to this new environment.

In a few words Felipe and crew provide great service and treat their customers with the utmost care and respect. We felt right at home with him and will definitely give him a call next time we are in Cozumel.

Muchisimas gracias por todo Felipe. Tengo recuerdos bien bonitos de nuestro tiempo contigo. Hasta la proxima!

Saludos,
June y Alex

“Porfirio is the BEST!”
Reviewed February 19, 2013

My husband, 17 year old daughter, 15 year old son, and I used Diving Adventures. It was a little off the main drag, but the price was decent and we got Porfirio as an instructor. He was fabulous! My daughter had a really hard time with her ears and he was so patient with her. The other three of us went on to get our open dive certification and he was instructive, helpful, never harsh, but always to the point about the importance of what we were learning. I would recommend Diving Adventures for sure and if you use them, ask for Porfirio!

“Great dive week with Diving Adventures!”
Reviewed February 12, 2013

Just spent 10 days on Cozumel and connected for all our dives with Diving Adventures. This was the third time we have used Felipe and his team and we have always been treated extremely well. If you are going to Cozumel for the first time or doing a repeat visit, you need to know that the trick to Cozumel is smaller, faster boats. They get you to the best sites quicker with 4 - 8 divers on the boat instead of 20 - 30 divers on the "cattle cars". Boats filled with divers of all levels from a resort course to advanced (yikes!...45 minutes to get everyone into the water - 45 to get them out FOR EACH DIVE!). When we go to a dive destination we want to go to the best sites to experience the best dives. This can't happen on the cattle cars. Felipe's first question every day of our trip was..."where would you like to dive today"? Of course weather and current dictates where the sites of the day are but Felipe and his team will make sure you get the best experience while you are there and with his fast boats, will get you back to your hotel in time for happy hour. Felipe and his Diving Adventures team are not only extremely knowledgeable about the reef system but are great ambassadors for Cozumel and are environmentally conscious of the reef and marine life. This might seem like an infomercial but I've been diving on Cozumel for 20+ years with various operations and Diving Adventures is now my favourite!

“Avoid the crowds-Dive Adventures is the way to go!”
Reviewed January 20, 2013

Jenny:
This is the second time we've been diving w/ Felipe and we really can't say enough good things about him. When you watch the cattle car of divers leaving from the same dock, you'll know you've made the right decision! Felipe knows the reefs inside out and we always felt relaxed and extremely safe. Felipe will come and pick you up at your resort and take you to places that won't be over-run with other divers. I did my Advanced certification with him and we both did our Nitrox course with him and I would recommend him highly both for certification and just enjoyable diving. You can tell that Felipe just loves what he does and he loves the reefs around Cozumel. I wouldn't recommend diving with anyone else. We will use him again and again!
