A nice place to snorkel or just stay on the beach. We had swam with dolphins a few days before so we didn't do that again but we did do the quick tour of the area and saw the dolphins and Manatees (nice to see some without the normal scars on their backs). There is a coupon online (on their website) for a few dollars off each admission so worth bringing that along if you go. The snorkeling area is nice - best for fish rather than coral. the fish aren't scared of people so they will rub right up against you as you climb in... They even gave us a small dolphin charm (inexpensive) as a momento of the trip when we left...

We recently went on the Dolphin Encounter, set up by our cruise line (Royal Caribbean). Having never swam with the dolphins before, we had an absolute blast! The trainer was great and the dolphins were very friendly! We loved it! Unfortunately, though, the park does not allow you to take your own pictures unless you have a waterproof camera, which we did not. They charge an arm and a leg to purchase the photos after, and the photos were not that great of a quality- some were blurry, off centered, etc. I highly recommend the excursion, with having a waterproof camera, if you are a person (like me) who loves having pictures. If you do not care about pictures all that much, you will love this excursion. There is a small beach nearby, a bar and restaurant, a large gift shop, a walking path with Mayan replicas, a cute sea lion show, and a botanical garden. It was a great experience; I was just disappointed about the picture issue.

Took the ferry from Playa del Carmen to Cozumel for the day, and found a taxi to Chankanaab. The park itself is beautiful and very well-kept. Crowds were minimal and we had the beach to ourselves for a large part of the afternoon, which was nice since the port area was very touristy - most cruise ships dock at one place on the island so venturing away from port is a great idea. Had a great time overall and would definitely revisit!

Gorgeous 2.4 mile swim that I will remember the rest of my life. Highly recommend doing an Ironman on Cozumel Island, especially if you are train somewhere warm and humid. The facilities at this park were top notch, most beautiful T1 I have ever used.
