Nachi Cocom is a great experience and the fact that there are multiple activities offered for all makes it even better!
My wife, parents and I had the pleasure of visiting this operation on August 5, 2014 coming from a Cruise off the Carnival Magic. The beach was truly beautiful and there was not the inconvenience of overcrowding (Nachi Cocom limits its reservations to 100 guests daily). The pass to Nachi Cocom is all inclusive so your food and beverages (of all sorts) are included in the price. It only takes about fifteen minutes to get to from the port so you do not lose a lot of time on the road.
As you come in to the resort they take a picture of you in big mariachi hats which you can purchase later on. There is a pool and aside from sitting beach side you can also opt to sit in a covered patio section. The restroom facilities are clean and the waitstaff is courteous and attentive (don't forget to tip).
One of the biggest pluses of this operation is that if you want to you can simply sit on the beach or swim around but they also have a wide variety of additional attractions available for purchase. Snorkeling, glass bottom boat, jet ski's, paddle boats, parasailing and other child friendly options are on the menu. Our family did the jet ski and snorkeling options and both were extremely fun. The jet ski's were a thrill and the snorkeling was totally cool (we saw tons of fish, beautiful reefs, stingrays, a baby nursing shark and most awesome of all a giant sea turtle, how lucky!).
The drinks are decent they do not pack a punch but as it is open bar this is probably a good thing. Meanwhile the food menu is diverse. We had several fish, taco and shrimp entrees and ceviche, guacamole, nacho and fish soup appetizers. The food was good but I would stop short of saying amazing or extraordinary. Perhaps this is because i had very high expectations based on other reviews of mouth watering selections and succulent lobster (which was nowhere to be found on the menu). However, the food was more than decent (it was good) and when taken as a whole it was nothing that put even the slightest damper on the experience.
Overall it is a very good value for the price (about $55.00 a person, not including additional activities). I would highly recommend this excursion for anyone looking for a great beach getaway that is all inclusive including good food and drinks, not overcrowded and lots of additional options for those not content without a bit of extra excitement. BOOK IT!
