“We love this place”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 25, 2013

We are an Italian family on vacation in Cozumel. We keep going back to La Jarocha for dinner. Javier, the owner, is so friendly and helpful. The food is great. Javier built a stone oven and makes good pizzas as well as tacos, quesadillas, super fresh seafood and my favourite tamales dulces. We warmly recommend this place. It's affordable and Javier is very accomodating. Upon learning that that my mother was gluten intolerant he was ready to cook a special meal for her. If you are staying in Cozumel, go to La Jarocha, order a meal and talk to Javier.

“Well worth the visit”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 26, 2013

This place was always a late night snack run. We'd show up with a truck full of students and order tacos, tortas and pizzas. Very friendly staff and very tasty food!

“Excellent large taco/pizza place”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 16, 2013

It's on 65 Avenida which is fairly busy; a little tricky to find at night but not that hard. Lots of locals were picking up from here. Great tacos and enchiladas....the wood-cooked tortilla/taco shells were fabulous. They have donair/schwarma meat being roasted but other types of tacos were our favorites; e.g. pork!! Little english was spoken by our waiter and not much of a menu, but well worth the visit. Couple next to us had pizza and really enjoyed it. This is definetely much more of a Mexican experience than most Cozumel restaurants....and less expensive. It was not licensed when we went.

“You can't miss the Cazuela de Mariscos”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 18, 2012

This is a traditional Vera Cruz restaurant serving amazing seafood in a local centric and friendly environment. The food is amazing and our favorite is the Cazuela de Mariscos a seafood based tomato soup with fresh fish, shrimp and octopus with traditional Queso de Oaxaca cheese melted in a ceramic cazuela (bowl that they use to cook over fire) served with crispy tortillas... it is a must on our foodie tour of Playa every visit!

“Great Place!!!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 4, 2012

First thing, the food was amazing. Fresh seafood and a great staff. Since I was unable to speak spanish well the staff was accomodating. The unexpected thing was when the Owner himself pulled me and my friends off to a side table and spoke with us the whole night. We closed the place down and stayed long after sharing drinks and stories. I made more friends that nice and had an unforgettable evening. I am counting the days till I can return and see my new life long friends.
