GREAT! Visited "New" Especias the week of 22 Oct. 2013 and only open for a week (some of the reviews I read must have been for the original Especias or ITALIANINI??).
Started with special drinks from El Diablito bar and very good but memory is poor and can't remember what they were. Had a calamari appetizer...prepared Italian style...dark, meaty and delicious. We had fettucini bolognese and fettucini with shrimp. Both were excellent as we shared for tasting and comparing. If you like Italian, you'll like the New Especias!
Adrian is a gracious host (and chef) and Anna Maria and Memo provided exceptional service and very friendly. Learned of this restaurant from Maurizio, Adrian's dad, whom I also had fun golfing with at CCC. Definitely a favorite for our return to Cozumel.
