“Terrible music from early morning until night.”
Reviewed February 27, 2014

The room was okay, however they had terrible music playing from early morning until evening. some of it was rap music with swearing even though there was a some children around. Everyone over 40 complained about it to no avail! They cater to the employees of the cruise ships who come and have a few drinks. Very poor marketing, food way over priced as well as the drinks with such loud music it gives you a head ache. They don't seem to understand about baby boomers who would really enjoy this hotel if they would not gear everything to early 20 year olds. I talked to some people who have been coming for years but will not return after this year!

Room Tip: Do not stay at this hotel, it will be a mistake, unless you are in your twenties without children.

Wish I had read reviews before booking my stay. The beds are uncomfortably hard, the music starts early in the morning and is obnoxsiously loud all day. Repeated requests to turn it down, even when the beach was empty of customers, were ignored. Half the beach lounge chairs are broken and unusable. We bought our own drink supplies but were not allowed to drink them on the beach at the request of the No Name Bar on the premises. Their prices are very high and obviously they cater to the crew from the cruise ships. We tried to gather on the third floor solarium for happy hour, but like everything else at this hotel, the chairs there are broken, so we had to lug the cheap, uncomfortable chairs from our own balcony. This hotel could make itself more accommodating by a few changes like better seating, better beds. There is not even a dresser in the rooms, nor a safe. WHoever wrote the review saying the chicken sandlwich is wonderful is crazy. It was awful, and the french fries are fried in the same oil as the corn tortillas and were awful too. The only good comment I can make is the staff was very friendly and the rooms and hotel are clean.

when staying at this hotel you have to realize that it caters to people that like to scuba dive. It is not a resort. It has the basics. We stayed there from February 5th through February 12. We found it to be exactly as described .The rooms look just like the pictures. There is a refrigerator in the room which we stocked from the giant Mega store cross the street. This is Walmart in Mexico. The room was clean except for the fan . The beds were hard but we slept well. There is music playing from the pool area from about 10 to 11 but we could not hear it inside..probably because we ran the air conditioner continuously. There was a great view from our 2nd floor balcony. All of the staff were friendly and helpful. We spent the days on different snorkeling trips or sightseeing (there is a car rental next store). In the evenings we walked into town and had dinner at different local restaurants. The hotel was exactly what we wanted and we hope to stay there again next year.I would caution anyone going that it is not really a family hotel --there is a small pool and you can swim in the ocean but there is no beach. The bar that is attached to the hotel has good food and good booze. However it is not afamily atmosphere.

The hotel is in a very poor condition, no beach, lousy service only positive was that it was in the centre of town.. We left after 2 days, of 5 since it was so bad. We didn't like cozumel much either if that means anything :(

I stayed here for one night and could not have been happier! The staff was helpful and there is a dive shop on site. I scheduled a two tank dive for the following morning.

The food at the poolside bar was delicious and the staff was extremely nice.

The rooms are basic but very clean and comfortable. The location is great and if you like to dive this is the perfect location.

Close to downtown San Miguel and Ocean front. One of the older properties on the island and well priced for divers. The rooms are basic but clean and all have mini fridges. No telephones in the rooms, TV's and one queen or 2 double beds. Beds are not the most comfortable but I noted that they were using mattress toppers to soften the blow. Mega Supermarket right across the road is really handy. They have a great pool but if you like quiet this could be a problem as the NO NAME BAR have taken over the pool area and they have visiting crews coming in from the cruise ships,it gets loud during the day. Worst of all they play the same loop of music ad-nauseum, starting at 8:00 am every morning (WHY??) The waitresses working there are really sweet though. But the saving grace of this place is especially Gregorio at the front desk. He is extremely kind, helpful and a true gentleman,

Room Tip: You could ask to have a ground floor room - there are three only and are furthest away from the pool...

I have never stayed at this hotel, but have been to the bar, pool and beach club out back a number of times. The hotel shares the area with the No Name Bar. Pool, beach and hotel are SUPER CLEAN. Not crowded. Food is VERY GOOD and reasonably priced. If you are coming to the island on a cruise and want to go to an uncrowded beach, pool area with free WI-FI, this is the place. Even though, I have never stayed in one of the rooms, I did ask the desk clerk to let me see on last time I was there in Jan of 2014. Room was clean, comfortable, and functional. More than enough for a budget trip. Happy New Year.
