Awesome snorkeling, saw at least four Hawk's Bill turtles, parrot fish, a barracuda and more. Will definitely return.

Very pretty but many divers are brought out here all day long, probably because it is easy to get to and almost guaranteed a great and fairly easy dive. Divers everywhere we looked. Pretty coral formations though.

Enjoyed a nice dive with an experienced dive master and captain with Pepe's scuba. The shop will let you dive to your ability and I got about an hour of bottom time per dive. Make sure to give the dive master a decent tip if they give good service. Abdias did a good job setting up my gear and even cleaned and filleted the Lionfish we caught the next day at Barracuda.

We drifted Columiba/Palancar reefs from a boat from shore from Palancar beach. Cost was $35 pre person; not cheap considering. Though we had good snorkel drift for 1-1.5 hour, and would highly recommend it for people in general, recognize that this was a very good site but that you are floating 10-30 feet above reefs and fish, and thus not getting close up and personal (unless you can dive/submerge). Snorkeling along rocky shoreline on west coast just north of airport runway and south of northern marina was best on the island (better than Columbia, better than Punta Sur, better than near El Cozumeleno hotel, and better than Money Bar).
