What a beautiful beach on Pasion Island. A short bus drive, you will need to take a boat to access it. This beach was in the Corona publicity...but no Corona on the beach ;-(
The beach is so large and long that you can decide to stay with the crowd or find a quieter place. We will definitely go again.

This by far was one of the best excursions we've taken. Twister boat#3 ride was awesome! On the island everything was beautiful and Ida our guide made sure every need was attended to, from water trampolines to hammocks in the shade, great food and drinks all you could ask for and more only wish it was offered for longer

We took this excursion from the Carnival Sunshine because the kids wanted a day at the beach and to snorkel. The excursion description was very misleading when it came to the beach.

As soon as you load onto their boat at the pier they start asking for tips....you get to the island they again remind you to tip, then they make you stand in the sun in line for their photo people even after you tell them you don't want a photo...they the go over the rules and where things are on the beach and again ask you for tips...the guide told my kids the snorkel heal is at this small shack by the life guard station...you get to it and they tell you that all they have is their own and they don't loan out the gear...what a let down and it is sad as we mainly too this trip
For Some Snorkeling...but get they did have a tip jar at the life guard station...the buffet had fish, BBQ chicken, spaghetti, fresh fruit, salsas, and guc...the food was ok but not what you would expect....the staff was pleasant, however they continue to ask for tips...the shops are way over priced and then they also beg for tips...they let you spend 3 hours on the beach and it is an impressive beach and great for taking some amazing photos...
They like you up to get back on the water taxi and again ask you for tips and walk up to you with the tip jar...then they walk you to the dock and again the tip jar as you step onto the dock...once you are half way back to the dock once again they ask for tips...when getting off the boat the are standing there with a tip jar...sorry but if you beg me for a tip your not getting one..all the other stuff we did in Cozumel over the years we never experienced this kind of tip begging....I will never go on this one again....sad too as the beach was the best we have been too on the island
I do not recommend this trip

The good: We've been coming to Cozumel for 10+ years and this year was the first time we went to this island. I was incredibly impressed with the beauty of the island. Our guide Ida was very nice and professional and gave my son a free bracelet for his birthday. The water toys (e.g. the water trampolines, water climbing wall etc.) were fun for kids and adults. The sand was amazing, and even on a windy day, the main side of the island had calm water. Some of the most beautiful pictures I've ever taken in Cozumel came from this island. The guacamole was very good as well.

The not so good: This tour caters to the cruise ship crowd (which is fine if you're on a cruise ship). We've been trying to get on the twister boat for the past 7 years without any success because they sell the excursion to the cruise ships first. It is always sold out, or if the cruise ships aren't docking, then they will shut down the excursion. We finally booked through our hotel and had to pay $80 per adult, and $60 for our 7 year old. Then we had to spend an extra $40 for the taxi ride to and from our hotel. Why doesn't this excursion have the option of picking up those at the hotels from one of the piers? This excursion is not really worth the nearly $300 we had to spend on it. We won't do it again due to the cost, and due to the time and trouble that it takes to get there, but I'm glad we did it once. Also, if you're not taking a boat from your hotel, or form a pier, the road is absolutely BRUTAL! It took us at least 30 minutes in a small taxi to get to the small pier from the point in which the asphalt ended. The road is dirt and is in horrendous condition. You really need a jeep or UTV to make it down that road. Lastly, we were barely there for 3 hours until we had to leave. That's ok for some, but by the time you eat, shop, and walk around, there's not much time for relaxing.

Conclusion: If you haven't been there yet, the beauty of the island is worth the expense and trouble of getting there from one of the hotels. However, because of the expense and the time and trouble of getting there, we probably won't go back unless they excursion decides to have better options for those staying on the island.
