Though the beach was a little crowded, it was a great day. We paid $10 per person to get in, but got $8 coupons per perso to the bar and restaurant, which we used so it only cost us $2 to use the beach. It would have been nice if there were a few less people selling trinkets, but they were nice so it was not a problem. This was a day trip from Playa deal Carmen. We took the ferry and rented a car. Renting a car is the way to go, we rented from Alamo at the ferry terminal, very easy process

I've been going to san Fransisco beach for a long time. It is always so much fun and always has amazing service. The shops are great and you can always find a good deal. Totally recommend spending at least one day at San Fransisco beach!

We have been going to this beach for the past 5 years every time we go to Cozumel! This beach is very pretty, the staff is super friendly and its very economical! The charge you 10 dollars to get in per person. This includes the entrance, as many chairs as you need and then they give you an 8 dollar coupon to use towards food and drinks. We usually go with this deal but there are other deals in which include water sports (kayaks, snorkeling). Love this beach! I recommend it to anyone!

We took the ferry to Cozumal because we were looking for that perfect romantic beach that we see on photos of Carribian beaches. We asked several people in PdC and they suggested SF Beach.
When we arrived with Taxi the first we were met with was a charge to enter the beach of $10 w $8 credit.. Not knowing what to expect we just paid (no need you can pass thru). When we got to the beach it was like a train station.. MANY people all the way down to the water, LOTS of kids playing on the floating devices and lot of jet-skis and other stuff going on.. Obviously not the "Paradise" we were looking for. We decided just to continue walking on the beach South to find better beaches.. The sand was rough, not the white flour type for sure. Trying to stop on the way and go in the water, bottom was rocky so we hoped for at least a couple of fishes, but no fishes here as well.
We ended up at the next hotel/beach, and same thing as SF Beach just a little less.. So we decided to take a snorkeling boat away from the beach and out where there were less people.
The water out there were Beautiful, azure blue and fresh.. but not too many fishes as well. Anyway ended up having a decent day.
