“Watch out for the crocodiles.”
Reviewed March 16, 2013

3 of us left the ship at 0715 to go by taxi ($17) 20 minute ride to country golf club for 0836 tee time.Easy check in, clubs as requested ready, 2 sleeves of balls and basket of range balls to use. We did the $159 special. The course is in great shape and if you avoid iguanas and crocs you will have a great day (obey the recommendations). A Nicholas course designed for the tourists so not too difficult but still challenging. The rented clubs were Nikes and very playable (can order graphite or steel). I do not eat on land but the beer is great and all the staff were very pleasant. A very good day and better than shopping!

“Nice course, great wildlife!”
Reviewed March 16, 2013

Nicely laid out course! Wonderful, friendly helpful staff! The highlight is the incredible variety of wildlife and bird life! It is actually named as a bird sanctuary by the Audubon Society!

“Looking forward to returning”
Reviewed February 16, 2013

Seven of us showed up for a golf vacation and stayed at the Melia with the all-inclusive golf package. It would have been a nice touch if the club would have provided transportation between the hotel and the course. It was a good 20 minute walk or a $7 US taxi for 4 people, $14 for 7 each way. We always received a friendly reception. $30 per person per day for the golf cart, payable in pesos or by credit cards, but not in $. The golf course was in pretty good shape and challenging. As others have commented, you tend to go through a number of balls. Very scenic jungle course. A few crocodiles, wild hogs and lots of iguanas. It's a great idea to get the cooler with ice and water as service on the course is very spotty. It was great arriving back at the clubhouse after the round and receiving the cool minty towel, having our clubs and shoes cleaned then stored. Thanks to Angel in the restaurant for his congeniality.

“Way over priced.”
Reviewed February 15, 2013

I was going to Cozumel for the month of February so I emailed the Pro to see if I could work a package of maybe 8 to 10 rounds during the month. He responded back he had a $99.00 special before 8 and after 12:30 that was it. That really wasn't when I wanted to play so I went there on a Friday with a couple staying in the Playa Azul with golf rights. I had to pay $159.00 as it was 10:15 starting time. I have played all over on some really great tracks and not paid that much money. The course has a nice layout but far from what they are charging. No hole with a view except of a building that looks deserted / abandon no hole is on the water. They are the only game in town so they lay in wait for the cruse ship riders to pay the freight. Not a course I will walk back to play at that price.
