“Great Find in Downtown Cozumel”
Reviewed January 27, 2014

This museum was a real treat. It is located in the downtown area where the cruise ships line up and had a great exhibit of Mayan culture including as well as pinatas. It is fairly inexpensive yet has enough exhibits to interest children as well as adults.

“Good way to spend an hour”
Reviewed December 28, 2013 via mobile

Only 52 pesos, lots of cool things found in ship wrecks. The marine life section was dissapointing basically consisted of a poorly lit diorama of a reef. But all in all it was good for the price.

“Alternative Excursion”
Reviewed December 7, 2013

Due to windy, cool weather that precluded all water activities, my husband and I visited this small museum on Cozumel. It was reasonably priced and had plenty of artifacts, photos, exhibits and information I'd never known before, even though I've visited the island many times. We spent a couple of hours there. The only improvements would be the dioramas need cleaning, updating and better lighting so you can see and read the informational plaques within.

“Small but perfectly formed!”
Reviewed September 6, 2013

This museum is only a few dollars to get in, and well worth it.

It isn't large but gives just enough insight into Cozumel history both of the island and it's waters to keep the children interested.
They particularly enjoyed the undersea dioramas and the coral exhibit, as well as the mayan home. And of course the pirate stuff was fun too!

Highly recommend leaving the souvenir shops and making your way down here. The walk is pretty beautiful too.

“Really Nice Museum”
Reviewed August 11, 2013

This is a fairly small museum, but it's totally worth going to. It's only $4 to get in. They have a ton of art from local artists, a Mayan section, history of Cozumel, and history of scuba. I definitely learned a lot and would recommend this to anyone visiting Cozumel.
