We discovered this restaurant on a tip from a cab driver the last time we were in Cozumel and enjoyed it so much that we sought it out again this year. The food is very good, and the service, excellent. It's not full of loud American music and tourists or on the main tourist beat. It is just off the plaza. Guacamole and chips with dinner is quite a nice touch. Highly recommended.

The food was great! The service was very good. The only advice will be: check your bill before you pay and ask for the change if the waiter never brings it back!!!

We found this place via Tripadvisor. We got the seafood soup (AMAZING), the shrimp ceviche (FANTASTIC), and the Grilled Seafood platter for two (conch, mahi mahi, two lobster tails, shrimp and octopus). We were literally giddy after leaving this place. They also served us chips with guac, pico and salsa roja AND garlic bread. Had a few beers with dinner. I would have eaten here every night we were in Coz. The service was amazing and the ambiance was delightful.

We went here for Breakfast and we loved everything that we got to eat! I got the french toast and it was amazing, my boyfriend got the house special and it was really yummy, and the other member of our group got the eggs and bacon. Drinks included 2 water bottles and a really big papya juice drink The meal came fast and was so fresh and yummy! And it was all a really good price! total price for everything 23 american dollars

I read the other reviews and decided I just had to try Gerardo's. Glad I did. There were seven of us who went on a weekday evening and we had the place to ourselves. Atmosphere was ok, the food was very good with generous portions, and the prices were reasonable. Unfortunately, some of us had our appetites set for the snapper, only to find out they didn't have any that day.
Had to settle for grilled mahi mahi and shrimp ceviche, but it was great. I would recommend it to anyone looking for a good meal in Coz.
