We purchased this shore excursion from our cruise ship and it was called Everybody Loves Rays. It was advertised on board to last 3.5 hours. Getting there wasn't bad, they used taxis to shuttle our group there, just a few miles from port. Once you are there it is hurry up and wait. We had a small group (20-25) and it took forever for them to get everything organized and get us started. The first session is about twenty minutes in the shallow pool where you get a very good lesson on stingrays and you get to feed them, pet them etc. They don't allow cameras because they want to sell you their overpriced, cheap quality pics. The second session is what our group was excited about, which was the snorkeling with the stingrays. The snorkeling area was much larger and was deep. Because of the depth and the limited number of rays in the snorkeling area, you will not be doing much interaction. I was able to get a couple of good GoPro shots by diving down toward the two or three rays I saw. Before we knew it the snorkeling session was over and we had to exit. Turns out the snorkeling session is only 30 minutes long. I later noticed they had this on a sign up front, but the cruise ship advertisement was misleading. Thirty minutes isn't much time to really enjoying snorkeling. After we exited we went to see the baby stingrays that were advertised, but the tank was empty. Although we enjoyed the experience, everyone in my group thought it might be worth half of what they were charging. One last thing, be prepared for very aggressive massage sales people after you exit the water. I had to tell one lady no at least three times. There are other stingray experiences that give you more for your money.
