We met our guide Tanya who was wonderful. Even though it says private trip you can customize, the company has certain stops pre arranged. We wanted to stop at other spots and had to be firm about that. If the company advertises that you can customize the day they need to stand by that and allow a narrative on their booking form to explain where you want to go!

We stopped at the Bee Santuary and took the tour which was so worth the time! Learned a ton and bought some wonderful products.

All and all a fun day thanks to the kindness of our guide!

I have hesitated to write this review because while our tour allowed us the opportunity to see some beautiful places we had not yet visited, there were parts of our experience that fell short of our expectations. The advertised tour includes hotel pick up and drop off. Our guide had parked in a grocery store parking lot and met us in front of our condo and walked us over to the parking lot and the Jeep. Upon returning, we were once again dropped off in the parking lot and had to walk back to our condo. He apologized for not being able to get us any closer...odd because there was a drop off area directly in front of our condo. The condition of the Jeep was awful. The dash was held together with tape and Air conditioning was non-existant. When we commented about the condition of the vehicle we were told there weren’t enough jeeps that day and they had to rent one for us. This trip was booked well in advance so I am unsure why we ended up with a beat up rental.
Our stops along the East side of the island were great! We got to visit several beach front bars and we really enjoyed our time, especially at Welcome to Miami. Our next stop was Jade Cavern and Cenote. Again, advertising states that we could swim here. We were advised by our guide not to get in the water because is was murky and dirty. Our last stop was for lunch at Tortugas and our guide said it would be the best part of the day. Well, Tortugas Restaurant was incredibly overcrowded and certainly not the best part of the day! The snorkeling was confined to a very small area that was also crowded. The lunch was hands down the worst meal we have ever had on Cozumel! We decided not to snorkel and our guide came over and told us we could go enjoy the beach and he would watch our belongings...not sure how he expected to watch our things when he was at the bar drinking the entire time at Tortugas. We took our things to go to the beach area only to discover that there were no chairs available and it was also overcrowded. The guide mostly seemed disinterested in the experience and more interested in drinking the beer in the cooler and at the restaurant bar. At that point we made the decision to end our tour about an hour early. While we enjoyed the scenery and having the opportunity to see parts of the island we hadn’t been to before, I wouldn’t book with Jeep Riders Cozumel again.

We are glad we did the custom jeep tour and with what we saw - and we were very flexible with our expectations.

We opted to pay (up front) for an extra hour, which is what was suggested.

Our jeep guide was very nice and was ready and waiting for us when we came out of the resort to meet him. He was great to talk to, but very hands off once we stopped at a few places.

What we saw was worthwhile. Biggest disappointment was that he was returning us almost an hour early, while skipping a lunch that we had discussed (but frankly we ourselves didn't remember until we were dropped off). Rather than being dropped off early, we suggested he show use around more of the area. It was nice to see some of the residential areas.

The tequila stop was interesting and the samples were very good. Just realize it's like being dropped off at a store with a short tour with samples.

For the price, I'd suggest just rent a jeep on your own. We're glad we did it, but won't do it again.

We book the tour on with the Tripadvisor app the day before going on the tour, we had six of us that went. They had two jeeps come right to our resort and pick us up, you could drive or the guide will drive if you want him too. Started with a 40 minute tour of some Mayan ruins, then to a tequila distillery for a tour of that process, oh ya you get to try like 7 different types of tequila if you want to. Then we took a drive to the East side of the island and stopped at a couple cool little beach bars for a few cervezas and time to just enjoy the ocean. Then we were off to the Cenote, to jump and swim in an underground pool. After that we headed off the get a later lunch at an Oceanside beach location, food was very good. The whole trip was at least 6 hours long, and very customizable. You just tell your guide what you want and how long you want to do each activity for and they make it happen. It was a very fun laid back day. Oscar was our your guide on this trip and we all loved him. It is a great way to see many different things on the island, both inland and on the beautiful coast.

We had a great time Alex is the best he took us to beautiful places and was very knowledgeable of every place we went this is a private tour and YOU drive which is what we wanted to do and you go and stay at each place as long as you want not like the group tours they tell you when and where to go next. We definitely recommend this tour
