We recently ate here twice for breakfast during our stay on the island. The first day was amazing...great cinnamon rolls, great service, and great food. The second visit during this stay was the total opposite... very unfriendly staff and the food was below average. The view is amazing and this is one of the few places on the island that serve DeCaf coffee.

We had breakfast there last week because we heard it was good from some other hotel guests. We were not disappointed! The view was worth the price alone, but the crab Benedict and chilaquiles were superb. Free wifi was a nice bonus.

We recently returned home after another fabulous dive vacation Cozumel, Mexico. We (#3) stayed in the El Cantil Condo complex. It was beautiful and located nicely next to town. We dined every morning at Prima for breakfast before our dives. The food and staff exceeded our expectations. The menu offered a choice for all to enjoy. We also had dinner there twice and again it was Excellent. We were on the Island Feb 2-9, 2013. We have eaten at Prima many times in the past and it is always good.

We rented one of the El Cantil Penthouses for the week of Carnaval and it included breakfast each day at Prima Trattoria. We were always greeted by friendly faces each morning and the wait staff got to know us and our preferences. The views were spectacular making the delicious breakfasts especially enjoyable. The Chilaquiles were excellent! The cinnamon rolls and vanilla french toast were my personal favorites (not being an egg eater) but everything we tried on the menu was great! Albert always chatted with us each morning and Yogi was a favorite waiter. We plan to return again next year.

We visited Primas for the first time last week during Carnaval and were pleasantly surprised. My wife had lobster $295 mxn, and I had Jumbo Shrimp & New Zealand Scallops $240 mxn. Both dishes were delivered on time, piping hot and were delicious! Drinks are reasonably priced and well made. The views from this rooftop restaurant are the best on Cozumel. A top 5 restaurant on Cozumel for us. Well worth trying.
