Wonderful experience at The Lobster House during our stay on Cozumel! This is a can't-miss restaurant. High quality food, romantic atmosphere, an evening with friends I'll never forget.

Basic menu. Delicious. Great service. Choose the smaller tails. The one with Fidel Castro is the correct Lobster House. The other one, I can't vouch for. They are neighbors.

I've been going to this establishment for over 10 years it has never disappointed. It's a small restaurant with fantastic atmosphere, staff, and of course, fresh lobster! Most tails are shareable and caught fresh daily$$$. You pick which looks the best to you. The key lime pie is some of the best I've had. The place is lit by candles and low lighting. Staff---always welcoming.

We wanted to splurge one night and have a really nice dinner while in Cozumel. We chose the PERFECT place!. The restaurant is small. It only has about 5 tables or so, but is set in a romantic candlelit atmosphere. The menu is simple. Lobster. They have 2 appetizers. We chose the bacon wrapped shrimp (see pictures). They let you pick your lobster tails from the freshly caught selection and sell it to you based on weight. We chose the largest one they had (it was gigantic) and it was $66. We had them split it in half so we could just share the one (at no charge!). Each of us got 1/2 the tail, along with a side of rice and freshly steamed to perfection medley of carrots, broccoli, cauliflower, and potatoes. The entire meal was cooked absolutely flawlessly. We were both quite full. After the meal, Jimmy, the waiter came by with complimentary after dinner shots. Not sure what they were, but they really hit the spot. It was like a banana smoothie type drink. After dinner, the owner, Fernando, invited is to have another complimentary shot with him and his wife at the small bar area. While he would not disclose the ingredients of this mystery banana smoothie type shooter, he was more than happy to offer another complimentary round. We talked for a while, and he really made us feel like guests in his home. It was the perfect ending to a perfect romantic evening in Cozumel. Definitely will be returning on a future visit!

Many people here are mixing up the two places that sit side-by-side. THE Lobster House is run my Fernando and his father for decades. IT IS OUTSTANDING! The other is run by a family member next door that is not of the same level of quality.
Ask for Fernando, a tall lean Spanish looking local who is fluent in English. Tell him "Memo Viento sent me" and you will be treated very well.
