“Good stuff”
Reviewed November 8, 2013 via mobile

Well off the beaten path, it will be worth the effort. El Moro doesn't win a lot of style points for romantic setting or flashy decor and it can get hot inside. No a/c just fans. It will be a little like cafeteria seating. Other than that...first class food all the way. A wonderful family run place that cares about taking care of you. Glad we found it and we'll be back.

“Special Dinner”
Reviewed October 28, 2013

Blanca of Blue Project told us you were the best, and like our dives, her suggestion lived up to the hype.

Ray, thanks for the recommendation. The seafood platter for two (lobster tail, two shrimp dishes, conch, grouper and red snapper were outstanding. We got there to an empty restaurant, but before we were served, the place was hoping.

The drinks were mixed by your brother perfectly and served promptly.

Your MOM was a joy, the service was fantastic only bested by the food.

Don't forget to let your customers try the top game before they drink!

The prices more than fair.

HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!!

“Best food we had on Cozumel”
Reviewed October 25, 2013 via mobile

We stayed in Cozumel for 9 days and this place by far had the best food- we found ourselves going there multiple times! The mole chicken is amazing, along win the yucatan chicken. Basically everything we tried here was incredible.

“True hidden pearl!”
Reviewed September 20, 2013

You just must go to this restaurant! We had one of the best experiences and a great food here. This is a family owned restaurant, it is located farther from the downtown, we walked there from the downtown for approximately 30 min, but it's all worth it. Don't be put aback with the surroundings, the people are very friendly.

We ordered different dishes, my favourites were shrimp kebab and shrimps in garlic souse. If after all the food, you still have place for desert, try Mayan coffee. The owner, who was our waiter, brought a special table with all the equipment to prepare Mayan coffee. He put up a great show with fire and a romantic story, explaining how this recepy was created.
At the end I had a glass with mixture of 2 different liquor s, ice cream and coffee in it.

“Monday's Especial Meal”
Reviewed September 8, 2013

If you can find this place, you will not be disappointed in the food and authentic local neighborhood atmosphere and very friendly patrons and workers. We had "Monday's Special" which a local patron said was "traditional" on the Island. It was called Pork with Beans. The waiter said it would serve 2, but there were 4 of us and he wa able to split it up for all 4 of us. Big tender chunks of pork in black beans.... mmmm I must go back on a Monday!
