“Excellent as always”
Reviewed January 3, 2014

This is our third or fourth time and it still meets all of our expectations. Whenever we are in Cozumel via cruiseship, we take a cab here for lunch. It is nice to have a true local meal with wonderful seafood. The service is also excellent.
You won't be disappointed.

“The best food in Cozumel. Point.”
Reviewed December 28, 2013 via mobile

This place is maybe the most underrated restaurant in the whole Cozumel Island. It is not addressed in local hotels or city guides, however, it has an excellent reputation among the local population. My sister in law has lived more than 15 years in Cozumel and she knows who is who there. The place is clean and the service is fast. The best thing is the food, the menu is wide and all ingredients are fresh. The price is fair enough. Maybe it would help to have english menus and more assistant to foreign visitors. They are so good enough that seems like they dont need more promotion. Ask the locals for this place, it is not located in the tourist section, but not too far from the action.

“A terrific find!”
Reviewed December 10, 2013

We were sent here by a dive boat operator when I asked him for an authentic Mexican Resturant serving good seafood. He was right! The atmosphere was friendly, the service great and the food fantastic. We started with the mixed ceviche and even the small was a huge portion. It was fresh and wonderfully seasoned, it was delicious. The waiter brought chips and salsa followed by two small offerings from the house that were both delicious as well. He even took the time to explain the Mayan origins of the samplings.

My wife had the Diablo Shrimp...large succulent shrimp in a spicy hot red sauce, very tasty, she really enjoyed it. I had the whole fish and was led to the open kitchen to pick my own fish from a cooler of iced whole "hog fish". I opted for "grilled" with garlic and it arrived at the table whole, nicely crusted and flaky. The fish pulled easily from the bone and had great flavor and beautiful crisp skin.

Add a XX and a Margarita and with a 20% tip we left having had a fantastic meal for under $50!
It felt appropriate to cheer the chef with "excellante" and to shake our waiter's hand as we walked out to the taxi he called for us. Go there, you'll love it!

“Ceveche and more”
Reviewed November 30, 2013

Our secind visit to Conchita - and definately worth seeking them out. Very friendly, very easy to find, an enjoyable low key place. Their only drawback is that they close early. We started with mixed ceveche and then followed it with grilled garlic grouper. If that wasn't decadant enough, we topped it off with their superb flan. Since they're not open late it'd be worth taking some to go for an after supper treat.

“The Best Food I've Had in Mexico!!!!”
Reviewed November 27, 2013

We went there in Sept. of 2013. My friends wanted to try the local Conch. So I asked my local friend (who is a taxi driver in Cozumel) where we should go. He took us here to La Conchita del Caribe. We didn't regret it!!!!! They loved the Conch. I loved the shrimp!!!!!
