La Mission is one of my favorites in Cozumel. You can get a lobster dinner for $21. Includes pica de gayo, chips, garlic bread, limon soup and main course.try the barbecue pork for about $10. Consists of 3 pork chops smothered in fried onions. Friendly service.

La Mission is an old favorite for anyone who has visited Cozumel. The seafood is always fresh and properly prepared. Open air dining under a metal roof with some thatched palm leaves. No AC but waiter service is excellent. You can pick out your own fish dinner from the display and request special preperation from the chef. The only downside is that you need to bring cash as most of the time they have a problem with their credit card machine. This has happened to me on my last three visits. It has something to do with the fact that the Mexican government charges a business tax on credit card sales and somehow cash sales are either never reported or under reported...go figure. Will recommend this establishment to any visitor.

The food there was actually pretty decent, but not anything amazing. It seemed a bit overpriced, and the service was super slow and impersonal. There are too many other great places there to go here, in my opinion.

All during the meal they play different music and use different instruments. It was fun listening. The food was food.

We asked several locals to recommend an authentic restaurant, everyone seemed to rave about this place. I ordered the mexican sample plate it had a small sample of multiple ethnic food. I was less than impressed with everything except the homemade tortilla.
