“Awesome”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 12, 2013

Beautiful archaeological monument! Worth the trip! Do not go with kids. It is very hot and humid. They built the pace with amazing engineering features. If you can get the history of the place before you can actually visit it, do it. If not, they have guides who speak English available.

“Dangerous sport”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 29, 2013

If you listen carefully you can hear a hand clap bounce off the walls seven times. Hard to do when there are so many visitors but give it a try.

“Wow!!!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 16, 2013

The Ball Courts at Chichen Itza were amazing! I counted at least three different ball courts. The largest one had acoustics that allowed a person at one end of the court to speak to someone at the other end of the court. People in the middle heard nothing! This place is worth the visit!

The sides of the ball courts had glyphs that showed different masks portrayed in stone. The structures were amazing and the engineering that went into its building is mind boggling.

“Magnificent!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 1, 2013

This is the largest of its kind and is quite magnificent. Make sure you get a good guide who can talk you through the detail on how the game is played, why, and which side gets sacrificed to the gods in the end.

“Great place”

fun to visit. there were plenty of people selling souvenirs, but they were polite and not pushy - and would negotiate prices!
