What a great experience.... The staff was so wonderful, So close to Chichen Itza, And the cenota right across the street was amazing! It felt like there was a huge living room for the guests to relax and get to know one another. We acually had an international night with a bottle of tequila and met Colombians, Aussies , Germany , And Holland. Hi guys! We will be back for sure. Wotth it in all ways!

This hotel had such a great energy. We were extremely close to Chichenitza, 5 minute drive. I suggest you discover Chichenitza for a few hours or more then come back all hot and dusty and walk across the street, after buying your discounted ticket at the front desk of Dolores, to the cenote (5 minute walk). One of the most beautiful cenotes we came across while in the Yucatan. Refresh, relax then return to Dolores and putter around in the ecological pool for a bit. Head back to your room change and go to the small, cozy main eating area by the other pool. Gerardo will come take your order with the sweetest smile and friendliest manner. He is a wonderful asset to the hotel. We felt so welcome and at ease because of his friendly personality. If you are lucky you may catch Patricio lingering around as well. Another jovial presence at this simple and sweet hotel. The food was good and the atmosphere was low-key and fun. Our last night there we ended creating a great gathering by socializing with all our fellow hotelers in the main eating area. Fond memories Germany, Belgium, Australia, COLOMBIA!, Brasil and Switzerland! United States had a great time that night. Take this hotel for what it is. A great deal, a stupendous location and simple and sweet. Look past the mattress or the soap......open up to the people and you won't be disappointed.

Room Tip: We were on the right closer to the pool. No room preference. All was quiet at night and easy 30 seco...

Located just off 180, less than 5 minutes from Chichen Itza and Piste. Our room smelled musty when we first arrived, so we tried to open the windows; all but one were sealed. Later a rather foul odor began to emanate from the bathroom... I think it may have been seeping in through the window, but can't be sure. Beds were comfortable. One gecko and one rather large spider in the room during our stay. Air conditioner worked, but just barely. Water pressure was fairly limited. Wireless Internet access was very spotty. Breakfast (not buffet) was very good- fresh fruit, warm bread, eggs, and great coffee. Main issue was the smell, which I must admit I did not bring to the attention of the hotel staff. Our friends staying in the next room over did not have any issues with an odor. Hotel staff was friendly but didn't speak a lot of English. However the price of this hotel was quite reasonable compared to others in the area.

Room Tip: Bad smell in room 24!

It was a coincidence that we chose this hotel. We did not get out of the bus in time and by the next stop we were in the middle of the jungle. We did not want to take a taxi back so we decided to spend a night here. The roof was decorated with hanging pictures, figures and christmas decoration. It looked really fine.

First we were bewitched from the pool. We got a room outskirts, you had to walk long to get there, and it was furnished really basicly. That was the first place in our backpacker-tour (so mainly hostels!) That we have spiders in the room and not just one. We booked the room for two but everything was for just one (towel etc). Our opinion was that beside the pool it is not better then a hostel, just the price is higher. We got breakfast. There were only 3 people in the kitchen, and about 30 in front of it waiting for the food.

Unfortunately we could not use the pool because it was a cold morning and we had to go further. But they had a shuttle to the ruinen.

I arrived in Piste rather late in the day and was pleased to find a room here. The facilities are in decent shape and completely adequate. Service at the restaurant was good and breakfast in particular was prompt and efficient which meant checking out early and being at the ruins by 8am when they opened was not a problem. I'm sure there are more luxurious options nearby but I felt Hotel Dolores Alba offered good value for its price and wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to others or stay there myself again.

This hotel has very nice rooms with good showers. It has two pools and a good restaurant. We had dinner and breakfast here. The service is good. The hotel is very near Chitzen Itza and we were able to go there before the arrival of the busses from Mérida and Cancun.

My boyfriend and I stayed here while visiting Chichen Itza. We found it quaint, but perfect. We really enjoyed this place. It has two pools and one of them has rock formations in it. We swam around like two kids exploring the rocks. We slept with the windows open and enjoyed the jungle sounds. The free breakfast was a full meal including eggs, sweet bread, towast, fruit, and coffee. The hammocks were relaxing, the ambiance was great and the price was more than right!

The room had 2 queen beds, a color TV, a place to hang clothes, two windows with great ventilation, and a nice shower. Just run the water for a while for the water to warm up (it will warm up).

I would stay here again and highly recommend it.
