El Castillo or as most know it as the big pyramid can hold your interest for at least an hour . As you walk around it, each side is the same, yet very different. It is very easy to imagine that you see Mayan priests moving around the top and even on the steps. You will remember this piece of history long after you have returned home.

The ruins and temples of Chichen Itza is one of the 7 new wonders of the world and for good reason. The temple stands high above anything in the immediate area and evokes vast amounts of awe and wonder. I strongly advise that you take a tour in order to learn all sorts of cool information about the place; my favourite being the acoustics of the place. The place is often very busy however it is not teeming.

Simply something you need to visit on your holiday in Mexico. The tour guides are extremely knowledgable and the historic information will blow you away - the precision in the architecture is amazing. Make the trip, you will not regret it!
