“One of the seven wonders!”
Reviewed June 14, 2014 via mobile

I visited this attraction last year back in September.
We booked the trip through Thomson, so all transport, food and a tour guide was included.
We arrived there very early to avoid the crowds and the blazing heat! Apparently Thomson had a deal where they were allowed to bring the first trips in first, so we could see it first without being bombarded by people and we could get great photos!
The who park is fascinating, whether you like history or not there's something to see wherever you look.
Take some water and a hat with you though, we arrived there at 8am and it was very hot then!

“One of the New Wonders of the World, a must see!”
Reviewed June 9, 2014 via mobile

I toured Chichen Itza in a group of 10 friends. I would strongly recommend attending this place with a knowledgable tour guide, we used Exploratours which I would recommend.

This is a must see location which I would encourage anybody to see in their life time.

“Definitely a place you'd want to check out”
Reviewed June 7, 2014

We went with a tour guide that was booked through our hotel from Hard Rock Cancun. We used our resort credit. We actually left our tour guide and just explored on our own. If you're able to, make sure to check out the Cenote (not the one at this location, but the other one where people are able to swim in). Hey, it's one of the "NEW" 7 wonder's of the world... Don't forget to take a selfie and post it on instagram. It's not official until you do.

“A must see, and easy to get to”
Reviewed June 5, 2014

For those of you considering going, I wanted to suggest to rent a car. If you have several people it will be cheaper than a tour. Road from Cancun is an excellent quality toll road. And the Chichen Itza site is very close off the highway. From Puerto Morales area (just south of Cancun), we rented a car 2 days and 1 day went to Chichen Itza and another day to Tulum in the south. Good reads and easy to find everything. Don't be intimidated about driving there!

Go early in the morning, gets very hot.

“A wonder of the world”
Reviewed June 5, 2014 via mobile

This is what it is: "a wonder of the world"
It's a calendar made before civilization, it's an architectural masterpiece, it's a temple and it's full of surprises. It's a shame u can't go inside it anymore but it's for a good cause, to be preserved longer.
Would you travel a day just to see it? I did and I am glad. The way there it's not that bad, actually it is interesting, our tour took us swimming in cenotes after Chichen Itza and we also stoped for lunch and a Mayan village. There is no time to get bored at all and because we drove with a cheap tour operator, we drove in a minibus that was great because we were only 10 people instead of 40 that u get in one of those fancy big buses with own toilets. Seriously, u don't need that. Shop around for day trips and go with small local operators. This way you save money and you don't have to wait for 40 people to get to the bus every time u stop. Remember, always, someone is late.
Have fun!
